It’s great. Have to use a little bigger tortillas, but works great

I really wanted to like this a lot but failed. It's just OK. I will use it once in a while but it's just as easy to stuff what you are making and roll up or fold over and then you don't have anything extra to clean

This thing is not good at all… I tried multiple times on different tortillas and it never worked

This is a useful time saver for making things like empanadas and calzones. I have used it with homemade dough and store-bought dough. It works well with both types. I haven't used it with preheated tortillas, nor have I used it in the microwave. The design is simple and functional. I cut my dough into a square, place it on the open face tool, add filling, add a water or egg wash to the edge, and crimp. All that is left is to trim the food item and heat. The tool also acts as a guide for the amount of filling needed. I love that it is dishwasher safe.My only critique is that the crimp could be a bit deeper but that's only for visual effect.

I'm quite pleased with the results from this tortilla sealer. I tested it by mixing leftover mashed potatoes with shredded cheddar and sliced green onion. I put the stuffing on half of the 10-inch flour tortilla, then nuked it - on the open sealer - for 20 seconds. I immediately folded the sealer and pressed firmly for 10 seconds. With a knife, I trimmed off about 3/4 inch of overhanging tortilla. It was well-sealed when I removed it, mess-free, from the device. Then I browned it in avocado oil over medium heat. The result was a crisp and tasty snack that was as easy as ... well ... pie! The results are much neater and appetizing than simply rolling or folding the filling. This product makes a poor man's Cornish Pastie ... and does it well! The hardest part of using this sealer will be determining how much filling to use.

I tried using 8", 10" and 12" sized tortillas. The 10" worked the best. I never did get a good seal though. I followed some of the other reviewer suggestions by warming the tortillas for 20 sec in the microwave, filling it, and then folded to try and seal while warming for 20 seconds again. I then dry fried them or tried oven cooking them. I could never get a good seal. I was hoping to make a few for the week so I could warm them up for lunch at work only to be disappointed. You are better off just rolling anything into the tortilla like a burrito and then dry frying or oven cooking. Again, I never could get a good seal with this.
