Great locks, def feels more secure. You do have to practice locking and unlocking.. it's tricky. I keep the key on a carbineer so I can take it off easy and not have to manage my other keys while trying to ise the lock.

The lock is well made. It has three parts which makes it a bit tricky to use. The steps involved in unlocking can deter casual theft. The shackle does not give much room for bolt cutters. It is a bit of learning curve to lock and unlock which gives some confidence about how secure the lock is. Since it is a new purchase it is not possible to say how weatherproof the lock is. I like the lock a lot.

The seem like they would do a great security job, but they are so complicated to use (i know right) but theres just too many moving parts, and we are in a cold climate-I cant fiddle with lock parts and alignment for minutes

Excellent qualityThis lock has stood up to over a year's woth of bad people trying to remove it to steal a bicycle. It has outlasted the would-be criminals. Good lock.

I would love to give these locks a 5-star review because I believe that the founder of this company wanted to do right by his customers and make a secure lock- The problem is they are just way too user-unfriendly to open and close. I could only get one of the two locks to actually open, and then lock back up. I love the security of these locks, but I can see the frustration in the future when looking to unlock and relock these over and over again.

I've been using these locks for a bit now and they have performed well. Some users have reported difficulties with opening and even broken keys. It is true that these locks don't open as easily as a standard padlock but that's kind of the point. Isn't it?To open you turn the key clockwise about a quarter turn or so. That releases the shackle. Then you turn the lock around 180 degrees and turn the key back to the starting position and about a quarter turn anti clockwise. At this point the lock should come free of the shackle completely. To relock it simply do the steps in reverse. If you want the lock to function like a regular padlock simply remove the guard from the shackle and use as you normally would.Pros:A hard steel guard covers most of the shackle making cutting the lock off much more difficult. The complex unlocking sequence, while only somewhat cumbersome with the key, is a nightmare for picking (I've tried it).Cons:The lock has a learning curve but honestly not more than a few minutes of practice. Once you get it it's a piece of cake 🎂.The lock is probably a higher carbon steel. while this is good for cutting resistance it does make it more prone to rusting and if used outdoors will need periodic cleaning and maintenance. (I flush the lock with carburetor cleaner and swap with a cotton swab, then give it a generous lubrication with WD-40 or some equivalent)

A USED lock was sent loose in a flimsy, non-padded envelope, obviously a USED lock as it has no packaging. 1 corner of the envelope was not sealed, the keys were dropped outside. Everything was left outside the house and did not even have the decency to press the doorbell.
