Years ago, the inventor of the Touch ‘n Hold door closer had a little daughter, and although brilliant, she was a little clumsy. Great price with good quality. Was easy and fast to install. At first the screw holes didn't line up with the old ones but I was able to use some of the old pieces to make it work without a problem. I was happy that it was pretty much universal and I didn't have to drill more holes into my metal screen door and the wood frame. Also happy that the color matched excately to my screen door color. Also much more easier to use than my old one and I find it to be more safe without sometime pinching your fingers.

Installed part and door has a quick but smooth closing. I like the easy lock mechanism to keep the door open. However, I’m only able to open the door about 80% from being fully open. Not a big deal for coming and going, but is problematic when needing to fully extend the door so I can carry larger loads in and out. Part was installed with brackets in the same place as previous unit.

The problem with my old one is that the button was on the side which caused it to hit the main door and caused the storm door to stay unlatched. This one the button is on the top where it makes sense to put it and it's easier to reach when you're tapping it with your foot. Very smooth operation, works great, no complaints. Actually bought another one to replace the one on another door.

This review is only after 1 day so I can’t speak to longevity.I had 2 closers on my storm door but it was choppy to open and the door would close super fast for the first 3/4 of the way closing before it would abruptly stop, bounce a bit, then finally close. It would constantly crush our ankles and almost knock my kids over.I bought this and it is night and day different. It almost fit perfectly with the previous closers but I only needed to drill 2 holes. Super quick and easy to install.The first time I closed my door tho it was way too fast and slammed shut. A small adjustment to the speed setting (which does not need a screwdriver like my previous closers) and the door is very smooth to close. It absolutely does NOT slam shut or go super fast for 3/4 of the door closing. It shuts at a very steady and slow pace for 98% of the way.Also a very nice plus is the one touch lock feature. So much easier than the finicky pieces on my previous closers.If you are dealing with an “aggressive†closer on your current storm door, then this will fix it.

Installed easily, worked fine for 6 months, but seemed to vary closing speed based on outside temperature. Now closes, and slams. Unable to adjust to close more gently.

Very easy to install I had to move one of my little brackets over so I just drilled one more hole and it worked out perfect it is so quiet now and slow he used to slam. I would highly recommend this to anybody.
