The strap works good, but for a horse with a fine throatlatch, it will not tighten enough without modifying it. And it's not a simple fix of just making more holes. the strap widens out after the last hole so you actually have to cut the leather on both sides to make the strap narrower so it will fit through the buckle. Once done it's fine and works better than any others IMO, but just be prepared that you may need to modify it. I wish they would make one a few inches smaller.

This did not fit a stocky 16 hand 8 yr old paint gelding. I doubt this collar would even fit a draft horse, I'm not sure. I was not able to punch holes to tighten the fit because the leather expands and the buckle will only go so far. Nice leather and quality otherwise, but the sizing is absolutely terrible.

The quality of this strap is fine. The problem is that it's HUGE. My horse is a normal sized 15 hand Arabian/Quarter cross and this strap didn't even come close to fitting her. Due to the design of the strap (the leather is contoured) I didn't have enough space to punch extra holes for it to go tighter.

It's well made, but too big for my OTTB. Will need to punch two more holes in it.

I have used several types of cribbing straps and this one is actually my favorite. I like the Miracle Collar but the front forehead strap is always moved back behind the ears by my horse, no matter how tight or loose I put it on. This indicates to me, that it must be irriating to him. The nutcracker type straps work okay but I have found that the metal starts rubbing out the hair. This strap works really well, lasts a long time and seems less irriating than others. My only complaint is that the dip in the throat section tends to spread out too wide and you have to keep sqeezing it back together in order to get a better fit.

i wish i had read the reviews before buying. it's huge and cannot be adjusted very easily because the strap quickly widens too much to fit through the buckle if you want to add more holes. very disappointing. you'd think with all these bad reviews that they would have fixed the problem by now.
