I ran out of ports on one of my switches, and although this cost around $20, it was cheaper than buying another switch, and allows use of RJ-45 connectors in the SFP port. It works without any issue and is transparent to the Omada controller (it treats it the same as the other ports).

Popped it into the slot and was recognized immediately and very little to do reconfigure the router for the sfp module for WAN interface

Just slip it in the SFP port and boom, you've freed up the backplane of your network switch to do other things.

Using SFP modules to connect router and switch. It's only 1GB, but the switch indicates that the SFP modules have separate, full bandwidth connections. Seems to work - my network seems faster, and it freed up an RJ45 port. I see no reason NOT to upgrade to SFP modules, especially at this price.

1GB copper version. Works fine in sfp port of Omada managed switch. This version of the product doesn't seem to get too hot and I have no problems running 2 of them in adjacent sfp ports; other speeds (i.e. 10GB) might get hotter and cause problems. Easy on the wallet, easy trouble-free install, easy to swap out if necessary.

I'm running low on available RJ-45 ports on my TP-Link 28-port Switch TL-SG1428PE. (26 RJ-45, 2 SFP)"Hey, I could use one of those empty SFP ports on the TP-Link switch, install an SFP card in my NAS, and be good". Money, two generic SFP cards for the QNAP NAS, and hours later still unsuccessful. This module converted the SFP port on the switch into an RJ45 port in about 10 seconds of effort. Yes I'm using cat6 instead of DAC or fiber but the port conversion at $19 should have been my very first and only step.

Does what you want it to and performs up to 10G but it runs super hot. Vendor even recommends not running two next to each other in the same switch. I do that anyway on a SG3428XMP and two SX3206HPP switches in my house and they are burning hot to touch.

Era el producto que necesitaba para habilitar 4 puertos WAN en un router para conectar 4 servicios de Starlink.
