Bought two knowing they were cheap, one worked for a couple days the other a week. So I went and bought Dorman version, works great! Don’t waste your money on these 1998 Cherokee 4.0

It’s solve the TPS problem but started another TPS problem of Speeding up while driving down the road.

My 98 jeep Cherokee was running a bit rough. The code reader said this was the problem. I ordered it my husband put it in didn't take him very long. Trucks been running better for about a week now. Cheep too!Update: only lasted about 8 months and truck started running crappy again. I guess cheep isn't always the solution had to buy another one.

I didn’t have a great experience with this sensor. First of all it didn’t come with a gasket or even have a gasket holder on the sensor itself which makes me believe this was made with the intention of not having a gasket. It does fit and bolt up nicely but something is off. I don’t think this sensor is for a Jeep TJ or is not interchangeable anyways. The sensor made my Jeep idle Insanely bad. The RPMS were all over the place and even exceeding 2,500 rpm’s while idling. I don’t recommend this to replace a Jeep TJ sensor. For the price I was disappointed but it’s okay. Better to learn from me, rather than make the same mistake.

Had a check engine code for P-0122 Throttle Position Sensor. I replaced this easily and it was a simple plug and play. My Jeep kept stalling, had a low idle so I replaced the Idle Control Sensor too. But now it starts right up. Seems to have more power, not so sluggish. Perfect fit. 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0
