I purchased this transformer to power a 24 VAC Rain Bird garden irrigation timer. It worked perfectly right out of the box and supplies power for eight solenoid water control valves.

Like the price and the quality.This was used to replace a burned out unit for my MTH "O" gauge electric train set.It was much cheaper than the OEM replacement and has roughly 10% more capacity.

I use tens of these per year. Needed 1 ASAP and was ordering from Amazon. First one arrived in destroyed inner and outer boxes, transformer mounting ears were bent and casing was dented. Sent back. Replacement arrived. Inner box destroyed, outer box is pristine. Transformer ears bent. In the mean time, ordered from supply house as I normally do, that one arrived in perfect shape. Do not recommend ordering these from Amazon.

Replaced a 40va transformer with this 100va transformer. Added a addition zone valve to my heating system so a larger transformer was required. It has worked just fine.

The neutral and 24vac are reversed, i.e. opposite of the color code listed on the transformer. Burned up $300 in zone valves when I energized it!
