Restoring a beat up old goose. Escape door and rear gate had heavily damaged latches. Chose to replace rather than try to straighten the existing abused parts... that were also an awkward design I didn't like.A little easy welding mounted the handles. The flip latches required a little preparatory welding to provide a strong and appropriately shaped base on the sheet metal to bolt them up.The Solid, quality fabrication of these gate/door handles/latches will give me good service... and at a very reasonable price.

I have a Sun Country brand cargo trailer and wanted to put puck type locks on it. The latches are very generic and wouldn’t work with the non-shank puck shaped locks. These latches by this seller has a commercial type latch and they work perfectly. The 2nd photo shows the lock installed, while the first photo shows the where I tried drilling it out, still didn’t work. Very happy with these.

My old ones were aluminum which was nice as they would not rust but the zink ones are much stronger which will make it harder for someone to break into the trailer.

The 3.75 bolt centers version I received will not work with "puck" type locks from Master Lock or Trimax (which is what I want to use) - I have to return this item. Seemed to be decent quality - yes it comes in two pieces (it fits together when you install (one reviewer claimed it was broken on arrival - but that is not the case) Also some other reviewers said the item was thin and flimsy and maybe even able to bend by hand - this was also not the case for the item I received.Disappointment in the fact no one else pointed this out in the Questions or reviews

These trailer door latches are OEM quality exactly the same ones that came off my trailer after somebody cut into my old ones these were a perfect replacement

Wrong product advertisement. The 4" center to center is in fact 3.75"
