I bought this particular jack for the obvious reasons. The drill option is a nice-to-have and does indeed work very well on the tongue of my loaded cargo trailer but...Manual cranking with the included handle is very smooth and seems to require less than half the effort to crank than the old & tired 2k jack it replaced; perfect gear ratio! The handle to hand interface material is a cushioned rubber and is comfortable to use. My palm and elbow really appreciate the gear ratio on this thing. It installed perfectly on my cargo trailer. Hooked up to my pickup truck I can still drop the tailgate 90% of the way with my particular hitch. I think its a 3" drop. The top of my tailgate has a plastic Bushwacker-branded trim along the entire width of the gate. That is what rests on the flat stainless steel plate on the top of the jack. It all works very well. The grease zirt was a very nice feature. It will make maintenance on the jack as easy as it can be.The jack is a bit pricier but those monies were obviously put into the quality of parts used in manufacturing this jack.I hope it lasts the life of the trailer. Its a handsome piece of equipment. The only con is that the applied sticker was already peeling off the body of the jack when I opened the package. Insteading of losing it in the wind traveling down the road I removed it the rest of the way and applied it to a tool cabinet in my garage. So, if the company that manufacturers the jack would like the advice: use a better method to apply your branding to the jack. Parked at various locations I'm sure the jack will attract a few lookers.

Purchased this jack for a replacement on a 16 ft tandem axel utility trailer. The original got very stiff and finally gave out. So I wanted a powered jack but had concerns about reliability. This jack was the best of everything! It is heavy duty and rated for 5000lbs and has a grease fitting to keep it lubed for smooth operation. The frosting on the cake was the feature that uses a socket attached to a drill motor to jack up and down and a detachable handle for field use or back up. The form fit and function on this jack are first rate and well constructed. I especially like the heavy duty crinkle painted surface makes the jack look great as well as work great! I cut the old tube off and retained the welded base for a reinforcing plate and upgraded the hardware to grade 8 fasteners and lock nuts. I then tacked three spots to make sure it wasn't coming loose (way overkill). When in doubt go big and bring a 20v DeWalt drill with you!

I am a residential contractor who raises and lowers a 16' cargo trailer multiple times daily. 5 years of hand cranking has finally come to an end! I will admit I was a bit skeptical on buying this at first but I am overly happy with my decision in doing so. Also mentioning I was torn between this jack or going with a battery operated jack, which I settled on this type for a couple reasons. Number one, I Didn't want additional battery maintenance and the headache of running wires. Number two, I also wanted a manual cranking option if for some reason I couldn't use my drill - this jack has just that. This jack saves so much time, energy and frustrations of hand cranking trailer jacks I cannot be more pleased! Super smooth running, incredibly fast up and down speed but just be careful, slow down, and use less drill power when the jack is almost fully raised or fully lowered. The jack, just like any other, has a maximum amount of rotations up or down before it completely stops the ability to crank in either direction. For the people complaining about getting their wrist torqued, it's the responsibility of the drills user to pay attention to the post and not go full speed prior to reaching the end of the jack height. Any drill , used in any application can torque/twist your wrist, so if this is your gripe, I'd advise you to not ever use a drill at any point in your life.Ending on a positive note, this thing is truly an outstanding invention. Also love the grease zerk for eazy lubrication of internal moving parts.

I am actually very impressed with how well this jack has been holding up to my daily use. It gets used three to four times a day every day. It's still smooth as the day it was installed my Milwaukee drill lifts up the trailer with this jack without any trouble. And I love the backup manual crank handle I keep in the truck and carry the socket attached to the drill in the back. My only complaint is it's a proprietary socket and you only get one, would of been nice to get a second one as a back up Incase you loose it because we'll it's a small socket. Otherwise be kinda nice if it was just a standard socket head opposed to the proprietary connection, obviously less secure but a whole lot more convenient. Perhaps offer a model with a normal socket because I'd have ordered that instead not this one. I personally hate proprietary sockets and setups because something always fails and your SOL until you can contact the company and possibly get a replacement.

Looks nice installs very easy. Purchased the 7000lb jack will not even come close to working with a drill. Total joke and the hand crank works good maybe twice then it’s basically spent. Waste of money trying to return and not having any luck. High highly warn against buying this item. Much better out there for 1/2 the money.

I have 2018 BaseCamp. This wasn’t exactly difficult but a bit more involved than just removing old jack & installing this one. I had to loosen the propane tank cover to move it back out of the way (evidently Airstream changed the dimensions of the cover just enough on newer ones so this wasn’t necessary for others), install the jack, then move the tank cover back into place. Sometimes I have to use the hand crank at topOr start of raising/lowering, but overall it’s still an improvement.

Heavy duty and very smooth cranking up or down. Great gear reduction.

It has a grease point which is great. Box was damaged but we blame courier. Nothing wrong. It is the most steady and stealthy looking jack stand I have had in 20 years. Let’s hope it last. The only item you’re going to have to be responsible with your drill and socket. Comes loose as expected.I use the crank and it’s easy enough so no drill until I’m 60
