I use it to shelve sand into the legs of my beach sunshade. Wet sand is heavy and thick, but I can scoop it right up with this. Metal, not plastic, but with a comfy plastic handle cover.

Other than the fact that the handle slid off almost immediately. I glue it with Gorilla Glue, seems to be holding great. I love the weight and how much it holds for my use.

I use this to scoop compost out of the bag into a bucket, so it's easier for me to carry. Seems sturdy and scoops a good amount out.
