Have used tool for planting and garden cleanup (old roots, etc.). Tool feels solid and is easy to handle. I will find other uses for this handy tool.

I got this Japanese Hori Hori knife garden tool for bulb planting and to dig out weeds in the lawn. It has worked well for both! We planted daffodils and this tool made digging the holes very easy.I also used it to remove some vicious weeds with thick roots. This tool was able to cut through sod and thick roots much better than my weeder or trowel. The edges make a big difference. You can stab it deep and either stab more or saw it around in a circle to get stubborn weeds out. Weeds that I struggled with using the weeder and trowel came out much more easily with this tool. It takes the place of a weeder, a trowel, and a knife!The beechwood handle is comfortable to hold and looks good.The blade is rust proof, though I would not leave it out in the rain over night.This is the garden tool I never knew I needed.Highly recommend!

Great planter tool! The handle really feels good in the hand. Well built, feels solid when plunging in the ground to make a hole or cut roots. The length gives a great range of depth for planting. Nice tool to have in the gardening bag.
