Installed these and felt pretty good about them. About an hour later a bear came along and with a single swipe he broke bother buckles and helped himself to the trash. These are completely useless trash.

This was very easy to install. The quality is ok. The best feature about these locks, is the metal clasps. They don’t break as easily as the plastic ones. I haven’t had any issues with wildlife getting into the garbage since installing these. It’s very easy to open the clips, but keeps the critters out. I found that one strap per trash can is great for raccoons, but recommend using 2 if you are trying to keep out bears. Will be ordering more for my other trash cans.

My husband installed these and the same night our friend the bear broke them that same night. So it was not bear proof and I wasted $40 on 2 sets.

I installed these locks on my trash cans today and it was super easy. I used my electric drill to cut the holes. I put one on each trash can because I am trying to keep out little varmints like raccoons. The directions were easy and very clear. They feel strong with rust resistant metal buckles. The buckle snaps open easily with one squeeze for times that trash is deposited and unlocking for trash pickup. So glad I got these. They are a great value.

The part that the buckle is attach to the strap broke. Bears got to trash. Back to square one.Don't buy this if you have bears.

los clips son muy fáciles de abrir y la primera noche los animales pudieron abrirlos. fué obvio en el momento de instalación que seguramente no iba a funcionar.

The concept is great. Nylon straps are sturdy and good quality. Buckles are cheap. I almost returned upon receipt. The metal is flimsy. One always feels like it’s not quite clipped in. When the cold hit, I was not able to unclip them. A spray of WD-40 did the job. I bought those for the raccoons and it has prevented them from getting into the garbage bin and compost. I installed one per bin. So for that I am happy but wished it was better quality for the price.
