I bought six of the treat life smart fan dimmer switches to further enhance my home automation. Really love the design and functionality. Works with Alexa and has a nice app of its own. Connection to WiFi was simple. The app detected the switch automatically on the app just had to confirm and add it. 5 out of 6 switches had not even had a single issue with WiFi disconnect. Only one had a hiccup but after I restarted it had been working smoothly for many months now. Highly recommend this product.

They are Wi-Fi. I bought one several years ago to try out. After several years I am not disappointed whatsoever. That's why I bought two more for two other rooms. Easy to coordinate with Alexa. Quite convenient.

I choose treatlife because they have a good variety of products, I don't want to have top many apps installed. All worked smoothly. I got one fail after 8 months but the customer support promptly gave me a replacement, very satisfied

Update: i worked with support and they had me replace the TreatLife app with SmartLife app. It’s been 2 weeks and the devices have remained online and connected to Alexa. I saw reviews saying the support was bad, but that was not my experience. I had a surprisingly good experience with the support team, through Amazon messaging. I recommend these switches, just be sure to use the SmartLife App.These switches work fine hardware-wise, ok through the TreatLife app, and not at all through Alexa. I’ve followed all trouble shooting procedures, reinstalled from scratch, but they don’t work with Alexa. Well to be clear, they worked for a minute but then started getting server unresponsive message in Alexa when you go to use the device.Update: stayed connected to Alexa for a couple weeks, then dropped connection to the Treatlife app, and obviously Alexa. I have 3 other vendors iot products (switches, sensors, cameras) connected to my wifi and everything is online and working. Not TreatLife. If anyone has a clue as to keep these devices persistently connected to wifi and the TreatLife service I’d love to hear about it. The only reason I purchased these, they are the only simple smart fan switch available.

These were a lifesaver. No more reaching up to turn on the fan or adjust speed. The price is worth it versus the alternative of buying smart fans and installing those.

I spent $850 over the course of a year changing all my switches to Treatlife products to manager dozens of recessed can lights, bathroom fans, ceiling fans, etc. With so many switches and kids, I thought it would be great to be able to dim the massive amount of can lights and also control them to keep lights all over the house from being left on.The theory is great but the switches are not. I have fought several to keep them on the network constantly resetting them. Several have been replaced. Several are not working now and I had to put the old toggle switches back into one fixture. I have a mesh network so signal is never a problem. Every time we have a power outage of any sort, many get messed up and have to be reconnected to the network / app. The newest versions I bought as replacements are even harder to get online since they “automated” the process. I have 2 that cannot be synced and are brand new. 3 out of the 4 fan light combination switches have failed. Naturally some that I have the most trouble with are in the basement and I have to go down to turn off one switch out of 3 that my kids left on even after using the app to turn off ALL basement lights.I contacted Treatlife about some of these issues and they wanted me to go thru all the programming steps and tell them what happens at each step. I explained it is not even turning on so I cannot make it do anything. Then they said I must have made a mistake wiring them. I am an engineer and have wired several houses and barns including fixing others mistakes. This is all run around to avoid warranty claims. They won’t stand behind the high failure rate products. My advice is to limit your installations to only devices that benefit from connectivity and avoid the headache and expense of such a buggy system. Definitely not worth the hype for a whole home install. And definitely not worth a wife being upset the lights or ceiling fan is not working.

I've bought several different smart switches and the instructions with this company is the best I've ever seen. Almost dummy proof. Installation of the app went well as well with no troubles at all with setup or linking to my Google account. My only complaint is that the connection plate is thicker than the other switches I have within the same box so the plate itself sticks out ever so slightly. I look forward to adjusting the speed by voice now.

Overall it works really well. If pairing this with another smart treatlife switch it's a very tight fit in a standard box for two switches. It took a fair amount of work to get the switches flush and level inside the box. Might be different with newer boxes but for the standard boxes in a 20+ year old house it's very snug.
