Works well and is decent quality. Came as a set of two. Must be used in conjunction with the TRENDnet Network Cable Tester, TC-NT2. It has connectors to test a USB wire that has type A and type B connectors (plugs/male). You'll have to get creative if you want to test a cable that has a type A jack/female connector.

Squat design means as you plug it it in interfers with power socket (feamle) next to it - so cannt be used.

It seemed like I could buy these adapters to increase the functionality of the TC-NT2 to test USB and FireWire cables. I bought both (the tester and adapters) and I should have looked at the designs first. Only one adapter will plug into the TC-NT2. There is not enough spacing on the TC-NT2 Ethernet plugs to plug both adapters in (see pictures) and test the cables. The design of the adapter should be rotated 90 degrees to make it usable for use with this tester and testing these cables. Guess I need an adapter for the adapters.

Good for what it is, unfortunately, I thought it had another use for which it didn't work. Gave it to a friend who had a need for it and he said it worked okay.

No es útil. No sirve para nada.Lo he conectado a ordenadores con Windows XP, Windows 7 y Windows 8. No funciona. No sirve ni como convertidor a USB, ni como convertidor a firewire.No trae ningún tipo de driver y cuando lo conectas al ordenador este ni se entera.

Se credete di acquistare un adattatore che trasformi l'ingresso Firewire in Lan vi sbagliate di grosso e fate il mio errorequesto affare è un adattatore per il tester di rete TC-NT2 e sinceramente dalla scheda priva di ogni descrizione non si capiva.Per tanto state attenti, se lo collegate ad un pc non funzionerà mai !
