This chain is a bit heavier than I expected, but it is very good quality. My German Shepard puppy is still too small to use it effectively, but when he gets bigger it will probably be very useful. It would also be good for hanging a hammock or other general use for the chain.

My dog has broken every cable that I've tried. I decided to try this chain. She has not broken this one, and it works very well. I highly recommend it.

I actually cut this up (with bolt cutters) to hang planter baskets over a pipe. It has been out in the rain and weather all summer and still looks pristine. I also LOVE the snap that has the "lock" on it. It fits perfectly through the lock hole on our chain link fence gate and slows anyone not familiar with it down considerably, but is quick and easy to use once your familiar with it. Super pleased with this purchase.

I bought this for my dog who has a long and storied history with destroying and escaping restraint devices such as tie out cables. He's strong and... SOMEHOW... crafty enough to figure out how to rub most cables on the ground or against other objects until they release and he can run for it. When he doesn't manage to slip them he wears them down until the environment rusts them and he can snap them with brute force instead.The twist lock mechanism on this chain is simple and easy to use. It's also made well enough that, even after months of being dragged through the dirt, it still glides into place as smoothly as the day I got it out of the package. Just a couple flicks of the thumb and it spins all the way around until I have to tighten it to secure it.The chain links themselves have also proven remarkable sturdy and weather resistant. The steel looks just as shiny as the day I got it without a single hint of rust or wear. Most other chains or cables would be showing deformation and discoloration by now, but this one has held up.My only complaint is with the swivel hook. Beyond the locking mechanism, which I still absolutely love, the entire latch has a habit of spinning completely around between the chain and my dog's restraints, making unlatching it a frustrating process. I also dislike how the hook sets into place on itself when you open and close it. There's a large form fitting divot where the two halves meet each other that's large enough for the rings on my dog's collar and vest to snag onto when hooking or unhooking and this also makes the process somewhat frustrating.Overall a fantastic product and I'll be sure to buy a replacement when my dog finally finds a way to destroy this one, but if the above issues were remedied I'd be a lot happier.

Tied my German Shepherd pup out while I was busy with laundry looked out to check on her and the swivel had broken off and she was loose thankfully still in my yard and has good recall but I just took this out of the package so it broke within the first 20 minutes of opening the package. Wanted something stronger than the cable tie outs that cracked over time and was very disappointed this just broke.

This held an Alaskan Huskey. Strong enough that he pulled a 3ft ground rod out of the ground, to get lose.

It’s shorter in length than what we have had but it’s lasted much longer than everything else we’ve had for our pitlab. He has a lot of energy and we live in a small 1 bed trailer so for now it’s outside for him. But he loves running around chasing cats and barking at everything. He tangles around things, we’ve tried moving his stake around but it’s unavoidable. This chain hasn’t wrapped as easily as the others, nor has it broken. Its clip has been wonderful too as our dog is an escape artist. The only thing now is when it rain, he pulls the stake out of the ground … but otherwise everything else is still attached and suiting well.
