Use the attached leather strap to hang the large bell from your porch, in your barn, or inside your home. Either hang or hold by the leather strap and use the included striker to ring the bell.
CONVENIENT STRIKER STORAGE
The open corner on the farmhouse dinner bell allows you to hang the hook end of the striker on the bell when not in use.

This is a very heavy duty triangle and has a great tone. Going to be used with a band and sounds great. Would be outstanding outside as well just as a dinner bell.

The company profile indicates that the product comes from a family owned business in South Dakota. Cool! Except the fine print then says its called Autobody Now, then reading further, it's sold from and shipped from Marketplace Pros, out of Las Vegas, NV!? Prime shipping was to be 1-day, but took 3 instead. Product was placed inside an unsealed ziplock bag. The triangle was not fully inside and striker was not inside at all. Skinny leather shoelace was attached only to triangle. No loop for hanging and not attached to striker as pictured. Product was then shipped in a flimsy manila envelope that was torn on arrival, due to weight of product. Product is heavy, solid. The thin leather will not likely last long or be sturdy enough to reliably hang this outside. So, will have to get some sort of bracket. As others have mentioned, if hanging the striker on the triangle, it sits askew, so will likely only use the leather "shoelace" to hang the striker from whatever bracket I purchase or from a nail. The sound is pretty good, not exceptionally loud, so is more decorative than functional to hear at any decent distance. Quite perplexed and a bit disappointed that I thought I was supporting a South Dakota based family storefront, to see that instead it's somehow coming from a distributer in Vegas.

We live on a sprawling ranch style home with walk out daylight basements. Got tired of walking around telling everyone it is time for dinner. Just use this and everybody hears and comes to dinner. I feel like wishbone from the tv show rawhide.
