I usually have to weed eat the bank in the pictures but my weed eater attachment was broken and I was waiting for a part, but grass doesn't stop growing and I had to do something about the bank so I ordered this brushcutter attachment. I LOVE it! When I used the weed eater it took me forever to cut the grass on this bank, it wore the string down so fast I was constantly having to stop and reload or feed more string, total hassle. I will never have to use the string trimmer attachment for this bank again! The handle it comes with is so much better than the original round one that came on my equipment, it's much eaier to control and keep level when cutting. The brushcutter works on my Huskavarna weedeater perfectly,I just wish I had found it sooner, I could of saved hours cleaning up different areas in my yard. I recommend this product.

Really like this attachment. I had a 9" Forester blade I had used previously to clear a large area of 1-2" saplings - cut them like butter - but had Macgyvered it onto the weed wacker thread which was REALLY not meant for blade use. It was really not safe, wobbled a bunch and I always worried it would fly off like a frisbee and chop my leg off. Yes I know stupid. Sure enough, the last time I used it a fender washer snapped and could tell it was wobbling hard about to fling off so buried it into the dirt and stopped it immediately. Could have been so much worse but said never again that way.I finally bought this; should have a long while ago. I tried it out on some winterberry saplings - about half inch - and didn't really do much cept scrape the bark a bit. I'm sure this works ok with clearing tall grasses but unless it's sharpened it's not going to do anything for my intended purpose of clearing heavy brush. Instead of sharpening, I got a new Forester blade, other one was quite dull after clearing over half an acre over a couple seasons. Took off the blade, guard and used a hardened washer from a blade kit. I used the locking nut from this kit. Absolutely no wobble at all, feels very safe. Also like the handle included to replace the existing week wacker handle. For the bigger stuff - 2+" I'll just use a chain saw but for anything smaller this should work great. To the reviewer saying chainsaw blades have too much rotational mass and sheered off the center bolt, I don't see how this is possible since the blade arbor is seated in a 1 inch indentation; not up against the bolt itself. So the bolt wouldn't be taking the brunt of the force when slamming the blade against saplings. Sounds like they just got a dud imo. Do you really think a brush blade attachment is not over-engineered to be able to take a different blade when the company fully knows that's what a lot of customers will do? There'd be 1000's of lawsuits if the center bolt sheered off regularly.

My old brush cutter finally wore out and stripped the gears out of the head. I found this and replaced the blade to a better one. I used this for about 4 hours on various brush and it worked great. A great replacement for a broken brush cutter attachment. I was using this on a troy built trimmer but it died and I got a craftsman trimmer and it worked fine on it. A great replacement for the price, since most box stores want WAY more for this!

I have a Kobalt 40V trimmer (power head). This attachment went on easy. Used it for an hour in thick stuff, great. For a change, real happy.

I have a Black Max 4 stroke trimmer that I use this with. This has made short work of multiple large patches of over growth. This attachment comes with a four (4) blade cutting head and attaches to the trimmer base. I made short work of brambles, poison ivy, invasive Japanese honeysuckle, small diameter saplings, tall grasses, and other undergrowth. I managed to cut through some larger saplings with some elbow grease but all were about 1 1/4 inch and smaller. When it's spinning, it sounds like a small circular saw.I've cut back about 1/8 an acre with this and it has held up very well. I think next time I might try the attachment with a tri-blade cutter to see what the best setup is, but for the price, I'd buy this again.

This attachment initially works well with my 16” Greenworks 40V string trimmer. I love the variable speed as it gives longer work-time with each battery charge. It is also WAY quieter than the string trimmer. My only wish was that it came with a 12” blade instead of the 8” blade. I’m actually using it to cut grass in a marshy waterfront area so I don’t need brush cutting power. Except for the small cutting area, I loved not having to deal with the string, its feed, its jamming in the spool, or needing to change spools during use! Quite liberating! Highly recommended!

Despite what the Q&A says, this item is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MILWAUKEE M18 SYSTEMS. Not only is the shaft too large to fit in, the drive system is different (it's a square drive rather than a star drive which M18 uses). Also, this item is NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURNS.
