There weren't any reviews on this, but I decided to take a chance because it looked so much beefier than the other options. I'm glad I bought it. It is rock solid. No sign of play anywhere and it runs very true. The few 1x8tpi items I've tried out spun within a couple thou of true so I think the threading is pretty good. Would buy again.I have another popular live center with a 3/4" thread on it and mounting something large like a chuck (with a 3/4 to 1" adapter) just doesn't seem solid.I wish I could buy this same item with a 1-1/4" thread.
