I've been looking for a lens collar for my Rokinon 135mm lens for astrophotography. The lens measures 70mm and the inside diameter of this collar measures 72mm. With a single strip of tape it fits my lens perfectly.

This clamp works well, fit my Rokinon 135mm after I added a few pieces of gaffers tape. CHECK THE TWO ALLEN HEAD SCREWS on the base before using, the ones on my clamp were loose and I had to disassemble my polar aligned Astro rig to fix the problem, waste of precious clear night sky shooting time (Whaaa!). However, with the screws tightened it is a solid unit.

This isn't the the most precisely machined piece of metal ever made, but it fits perfectly on my Tamron 70-200 (non VC model). As of February of 2016, the replacement tripod mount from Tamron cost about $40 (with $10 shipping within the U.S.); Tamron told me that they only had "a few in stock". For the price, this is an excellent replacement, just don't expect 100% OEM quality.

Great value and nice build but... It just would not tighten enough to keep the barrel of my lens from rolling. It is snug but wants to turn, which kind of defeats the purpose!I did find a way to tighten it, by placing a piece of padded tape inside. The tape I used was double sided and thick enough to help grip my lens. I only removed the backing from the side facing the ring, so that I can still loosen and twist the camera if I need to.I don't like having to rig a product I buy, but this is still an inexpensive replacement for the OEM. (And, I like cheap fixes!)

Feels solid, and I'm sure would work well for the non-VC 70-200 f/2.8. I took the risk and ordered for my 70-200 VC (Nikon) version and leaves the screw thread about 2mm shy of connecting and about 5mm short of safe operating length. So, I can safely say that it does NOT work for the newer Tamron 70-200 VC f/2.8, so alas, I must return it and order the Part #A009E-067 which I can also verify that as of the posting of this comment is ONLY available as a part directly through Tamron. #hinthint ;_)

I can't find anything negative to say about this collar mount. It eceeded my expectations. It is a perfect replica of the OEM part. It fit the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 NO VR. This tripod mount is for the none VR or VC version.

3 étoiles car ce n'était pas le bon model pour la génération que j'ai. Vérifiez comme il faut la génération de votre Tamron 70-200, le model A001 ne se fixait pas à mon objectif j'ai dû le retourner et acheter le tamron 70-200 model A009.

I was gifted a second hand Tamron 70-200mm 2,8 lens which is pretty heavy. It didn't have a Mount ring and my ball head tripods struggled to support the lens and camera (Nikon D610). the lens would slowly slip and move downwards making composition a bit hit and miss. This mount ring arrived within days and fitted perfectly and is a game changer on this lens. Simple but extremely effective.

Schelle passt einwandfrei und ohne Spiel auf das Tamron 70-200 2.8 (nicht die USD Version) und macht obwohl die Schellenelemente aus Plastik sind einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Würde ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen.
