Heavy-Duty Plastic Masonry Fasteners

The perfect solution for securely attaching rigid continuous insulation to concrete and masonry substrates.

Key Features:

  • Round 3.5" Diameter Plastic Tapered Plate: Ensures a secure fit and flush finish.
  • No Pins, Screws, or Adhesives Required: Eliminates the need for additional materials.
  • Simple to Install: Pre-drill with a 5/16" masonry bit and hammer flush.
  • Solid Plastic Design: Reduces thermal bridging through insulation, maintaining energy efficiency.

These fasteners are available in multiple lengths to accommodate foam thicknesses ranging from 1/2" to 5". The 2-1/4" diameter head ensures a flush finish on the insulation, providing a clean and professional look.

Applications:

  • EPS Foam in PB EIFS Systems: Ideal for securing expanded polystyrene foam in exterior insulation and finish systems.
  • Rigid Foam Insulation: Perfect for attaching rigid foam insulation to concrete or masonry surfaces.
  • Waterproofing Drainage Fabric: Effective for fastening waterproofing fabrics into concrete or masonry block applications.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Pre-drill a Hole: Use a 5/16" masonry bit to create a hole in the substrate.
  2. Insert the Fastener: Place the fastener into the pre-drilled hole.
  3. Hammer Flush: Tap the fastener with a hammer until it sits flush with the insulation.

These high-quality plastic masonry fasteners provide a reliable and efficient solution for all your insulation attachment needs, whether for home or commercial use. Enhance the thermal performance of your building while ensuring a secure and lasting installation.

I started insulating my basement without these, and it quickly became obvious that using adhesive alone was going to be painful. Just a few of these per 4x8 EPS panel are enough to maintain good bond to the concrete walls by itself, and adding EPS specific adhesive (I am using Great Stuff Construction Adhesive as my EPS panels are faced) makes the bond "bulletproof".The best part is quickly drilling the holes using an SDS drill (use the recommended drill size, and use tape or other means to mark the depth for the drill), then tapping these bad boys in and moving on to the next panel. It is an extra expense, but it made my project go many times faster. I also highly recommend an SDS drill so you can drill the required holes in seconds. One last tip, is to make sure you overdrill or clean out the dust from the hole - this will avoid any issues with the anchors. I use a shopvac to quickly suck out the debris.

Works great was perfect for keeping foamboard against concrete

Used the 4 1/2" for 3 1/4" foam to CMU (Block). Easy to install, could stand to be a half inch longer, but that size not offered, and the 5 1/2" was a big jump in cost. Had enough length to hold, barely - but it is an easy application, foam is well supported already. Yes, if you don't get them lined up correctly, they will fold up on you, and be useless. I had best luck drilling through the foam one at a time, and installing immediately, right down the hole I just drilled. I did NOT need to blow out the holes with air - although I was ready to do so - but this is CMU, might be different on concrete. Cost would not be a concern professionally, where the labor cost is everything, this was for MY house, and I swallowed a bit on the price. I have been using sparingly, hoping to complete the project with just one box, wish there were smaller quantities available if I need a few more - but product is good enough that I will purchase another box if needed. This is one of those items where you are not paying for the product itself, production cost has to be minute, but for the time saved and convenience.

These plastic anchors have a annular ring stem, with a transition security, to a large plastic head.We used a precision drill bit to cut accurate holes in cement block, of the recommended drill bit diameter. The resultant holes were consistent and uniform. These anchors pushed easily through rigid foam insulating board, and then we hammered them into the cement block. The ring stem gripped the cement block tightly, and as we hammered the anchors to a fully seated position, the large head of the anchor pulled the insulating boards tightly to the block, which was exactly what was needed. This made this installation fast, and it was secure in holding the insulating boards.Definitely an efficient way to insulate foam board, and it worked very well.

Added 1.5" insulation to our basement walls. I cleaned the wall first with a brush and chipped off any nubs and high seams on the concrete. Set the insulation board in place, stick the SDS+ bit through board and start drilling. Drilled 0.75" deeper than the plug length. I used a shop vac while drilling to keep dust down and then held the foam in place while using the vac to suck the debris out of the drilled hole. You can use compressed air but only in an open pit. You will be cleaning a lot of concrete dust if you blow out the holes. I added a dab of PL3 construction adhesive to each plug for added holding power, probably not necessary but I feel it seals the holes. For 4'x8' sheets, I found 1 plug in every corner and one in the center was sufficient.

These bend when installing into block walls, I wouldn’t waste my money on them, cheaply made
