I had to dig up a drain line at my house and my regular long handled shovel wasn't really doing the job. I don't dig up drains every day, so your experience may vary; but this is a great shovel. Its solidly built and has enough weight to help you drive it into the ground. Made my digging go a lot faster.

It works well in already prepared gardens. However, if you try to dig a new spot or an established iris, it will bend.

Seemed pricey but the Home Depot shovels are right up there. This shovel is amazingly well built and very strong.

La pala es buena es metal fuerte pero la empuña dura es ta muy frajil o débil.no la recomiendo se quebró en la segunda vez de uso.
