My wife really likes this shovel. We purchased it to work in the garden and to edge with. It does a great job and is just the right size. My wife’s only complaint is that the shovel is heavy, and it is. It would be absolutely perfect if it had a strong, but lighter handle. Don’t know if that exists.

Nice heavy duty garden spade that can hold up to heavy use. Much more sturdy then the tools available at the big box stores. I use a square/straight blade spade more then a common shovel for my gardening and landscaping work.

this shovel has steps which are too short, small, and narrow to adequately place your boot on and apply sufficient weight to force it into the soil.

Much easier on the back than a short handled spade. Especially if your 6’3†or taller.
