This lock didn't line up exactly to the two holes from the prior lock, but it only required drilling one hole to get the proper alignment. It was a pretty easy installation, aside from the few seconds it took to drill the new hole, plus of course there was the need for a drill in my case. It was easy to set the new combination. I wish it was available as a single item, but I'll have the spare in case TSA renders another lock unusable.

I had borrowed a suitcase and the person who used it, as she couldn't remember the code, had no better idea than to force the lock, rendering it useless. Before throwing away my suitcase, I decided to try this replacement lock and it really worked very well!!!I must say that these types of locks are not the safest, not even the original locks are, but my suitcase is ready to travel again!

Looking at this listing the photo matched the lock I needed to replace exactly. Except when I went to install it. I removed the old lock and went to install this one, when I noticed the mounting hole pattern was wider and reversed from my old lock. Something to keep in mind. I had to drill new holes to mount it and was fortunate enough to have it work out. Other than that glitch, the lock is great. Works as the original and is a good replacement.

I have had the locks on suitcases damaged in baggage handling equipment, or simple mechanical failure over the years. These are great for a quick fix to replace damaged or broken locks. It's a very quick job with simple tools to replace bad locks and you're on your way with new, combination re-set locks for secure travel. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

The screw holes are opposite of the photo making this not useable as a replacement with existing suitcase holes…

The backs you have to screw on aren’t made for this lock. The backs overhang the lock body. Not a good fit.

These locks are easy to install on existing luggage providing the tabs can be inserted into the lock position. Make sure you take your time and measure correctly as well as inserting the tabs for the zippers and positioning the lock where it makes sense. These locks will provide security for your luggage for many years to come if properly installed.
