I tested a few of these in several distances from my natural gas stove and the alarms went off sequentially as the gas traveled throughout the kitchen/living room. The gas level number value on each sensor reflected what I can only assume was the correct level based off the distance they were from the stove. The app is really easy to use and set up the sensors to your Wi-Fi, and I was able to allow the notifications to alert me while my phone is set to do not disturb even! I've been testing multiple of these including top brand names and these were triggered by natural gas easier which is exactly what I want. The price on these is a third of the brand name ones and I ended up returning the brand name ones for lack of detection.

I could not connect this to WiFi. I can’t find a reset button or anything online to show me where the button is. Unfortunately will need to return this if support doesn’t reach out

I returned a previously-purchased gas detector and bought this one, and am glad I did. Even though the alarm on the previous unit was measured by me to be slightly louder (90 dB vs. 85 dB), it was not a high-pitched piercing alarm and did not penetrate walls at all. The alarm on this detector was more like a smoke alarm and can be heard in adjacent rooms much more easily. The ability to notify me on my iPhone when gas is detected is a much-appreciated bonus. I tested the unit and phone-notification using blowtorch gas and it worked perfectly.The setup instructions for connecting to WIFI within the downloaded app were concise, but not overly clear. It took awhile to get through this step, but I finally got the detector connected. These steps could be more descriptive. For example, under Reset The Device, it says Power on the Device and then Power off after 10s.... This is confusing as there is no on/off button. To power off and on you must unplug the USB cable and then plug it back in. This could be stated, but is not. There is also a very confusing section about purchasing expensive subscriptions to phone plans which (I think) would send you text messages. I could find nothing stating that this is optional, so I didn't really know if I had to buy a plan to get the alarm notifications which would've been a deal breaker for me. Testing the detector with the blowtorch gas proved that no plan was required. Also, as others have mentioned, I could find no way to switch the temperature display from celsius to fahrenheit. Annoying in the U.S., but I can live with it.So the detector works fine for its stated purpose, but I have reduced my rating to four stars because of the confusing set-up instructions and temperature display.

Had difficulty connecting to WiFi. Tested the alarm by releasing gas and the alarm was significantly delayed in providing warning.

Tricks: push button before powering on USB-C. Clicking sound means Tuya app can connect. Navigate to Sensors. Have not figured out how to switch C to F temps for USA.
