It wouldn’t twist inconsistently. It did make it much easier but not consistent.

These twist tools will remain in my fencing bag. While I love my linesman pliers (and will keep using them) they are not easy for others in my family to use. I have what my wife calls "man-bear paws" for hands and can do alot of repetitive tasks before they get tired. However, my aging father-in law and my 14 year old daughter who helped with fencing in a large chicken run do not have the same hand strength. With these twisters I could barley keep up cutting wire for them as they could install easily. The last time we did fence work it took twice as long as I had to twist everything. To be clear we have chain link with 4x4 steel posts, so the standard length wire would not work. I'm lookin forward to trying the EZ Twist 9 Gauge Preformed Fence Ties when we fix our rear fence, as I believe they will be easier than bending and having the kinks get stuck in the tool.

The product works, but the dowels holding the cutters in fell out on both of them that I bought. I was able to just throw a tack weld on it to hold them in place permanently and it works.
