Maybe I am just lucky, but all 5 of my probed work great. 0 degC in ice water thermos and 100 degC in boiling water. It should be noted that temp reading accuracy is only as good as the cold junction temperature compensating system of the meter. Temp meters typically use an internal thermistor to accomplish this, so temp error is the error of this internal thermistor temp reading plus any error of the thermocouple itself. Low cost meters do not read the internal thermistor very accurately, leading to temp reading errors of 6 deg F or more. Also it is very important to let the temp meter sit at a fixed room temp for at least 20 min before using it to allow the internal temp of the meter to stabilize. If you suddenly take the meter outside where it is hot or cold you will initially see huge errors in temperature readings with the thermocouple held at a fixed temp (such as in ice water).

Nice, low cost, work well. Tips are bare wires which is good and bad, good for fast response, bad for damage and contamination. But you could buy others that have metal sheaths. I put them on my heat pump furnace refrigerant lines, cold air return, and outside to monitor performance so I know if refrigerant is getting low. Hooked up to a 4 point meter.

They're thermocouples. They work, they're reasonably accurate. Not much to it The wire is pretty thin, so they respond fast. There's heat shrink tube over each end, so I imagine that will come off with some temperature extremes in time, and the fiberglass (or whatever it is) braid that's surrounding the wire will probably start fraying? That's conjecture, from prior experience. Might not happen, though if it does, it's not a big deal. They do the job, they were a good value.

Priced right when compared to purchasing similar items from HVAC supply house. Normally I pay the same amount for 1 item.

First 2 did not work at all. Accuracy not good, off over 20 degrees when compared to other known good thermocouples.

The price for 5 is less than the price for one from most sellers. 4 out of the 5 shipped worked perfectly (not much to them). The fifth one was wildly inaccurate and went into the trash right away. Would buy again at this price.

Most on these on Amazon are too cheap and don't read correctly, but these seem to work and have a great value

Not very accurate, 20 degree temperature swing.

Longer than my factory one, so far no issues and I don’t see any in the near future.

I recieved these probes and when I went to use them, the first one fell apart. Wires in plug where not tightened under the screws and pulled out of plug. Had to do a jobsite fix (simple) and fasten the probe wires under the screw. The sheath cover over the 2 wires is poor in one spot. This was on 1 of the 5 probes I recieved. Otherwise they seem to be accurated and equal temperature readings between them. Not sorry I bought them.

The one I've tried so far matches up with my current other thermometers.
