My goal was to convert a line level balanced line to a single ended signal to apply to an amplifier input. The output signal squealed and added all kinds of other noise to the output signal. I ended up purchasing a professional audio transformer which worked perfectly, as it should for $114! It's an RDL TX-AFC1F audio converter, also available on Amazon.

transformer worked great. I used it to build an interface device to go from a broadcast board to an Iphone. Worked great.
