This adapter is perfect for a device that does not support POE power out of the box. This adapter is connected to a TPLINK travel router that I am using for all of my alexa IoT devices as those aren't really the best when ut comes to network security. The POE port that the device is using is on a separate Vlan on my switch and it has no issues providing network data as well as power over the Ethernet cable. All in all, works as described.

This device splits the power out of a POE network connection. If you need to install a non-POE camera where there is no power outlet, a POE network cable would be a great alternative. I use this to power a WYZE Pan V3 camera through a POE network cable. The micro USB connector is small enough to fit into the Wyze camera. I also had to drill a small hole through the mounting bracket for this non-90-degree cable to go through.

Works great powering Lutron hub from Unifi switch, only nag is NIC activity light seems to be broken as it fails to light up even though hub is online and corresponding switch port shows activity.No functional issues though.

Bought this to run a poe setup for a raspberry pi server! Works very well and allows me to be able cut down on unnecessary cords.Love it!

I took one for the team and tried this on a passive non-802.3 POE 24v common to Ubiquiti edgeswitches and unifi switches, figuring it can go in my parts box if it is a failed experiment, and that there might be some remote chance the input logic would accept and pass through incoming voltage to a simple buck converter that might still yield workable USB voltage, as this would be easy enough to build, and for ten bucks you have to wonder if its just a crude device. No soap, at 24v it puts out no voltage over USB. So now you know folks!

Using this to power a WyzeCam over PoE. The micro USB plug fits perfectly in the WyzeCam, no trimming required. Obviously there is no use for the Ethernet part of the splitter in my application. I’m writing this review about 6 months after my purchase because the unit failed. I was getting ready to order a replacement because it had worked so well up to this point, but decided to reach out to support to see if they would cover a replacement. To my surprise, I had a replacement order set up within 30 minutes of sending my original email. 5 stars for support!!

If you have an existing Power over Ethernet (PoE) network, this device lets you connect USB-powered devices to it without needing a separate power supply.I used it to add a wireless access point (WAP) to my network in a location that didn't have mains power available for a conventional USB power supply for the WAP.No configuration needed, works straight out of the packet.Quality is o.k. but nothing special.No idea how durable it is, has only been in use for about a month.No problems so far.

replace outdoor camera, but it was powered by POE, bought Wyze camera, so this cable works great cover the PEO to micro USB
