This KVM switch was exactly what I was looking for! I wanted it to connect my home and work laptops to a central 27" monitor. It was a very simple plug-and-play setup and it worked right out of the box. It does take a few seconds to switch between laptops, but it's perfectly sufficient for my needs. I like that it has two options... a button on the KVM itself and a remote switch. I'm still deciding on how to organize my desktop, and I'm looking forward to cleaning up the wiring and using the remote switch. I would definitely recommend this KVM for a two laptop setup.

This KVM switch is a perfect solution for sharing a display, keyboard, mouse, and external harddrive between two PCs.I have two mini PCs on my desktop that I wanted to share a single Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo, and a 4Tb drive.This solution works perfectly. Plugging in the two HDMI cables to the KVM switch, and connecting them to the respective PCs allow sharing the single monitor. I plugged the Logitech transmitter dongle into the Keyboard port on the KVM switch, and after connecting a USB-A cables from each PC to the switch, the shared wireless keyboard combo worked perfectly.And finally, plugging in the 4Tb drive allowed it to be shared between the two PCs. Note, however, that every time I switched between PCs, the external drive was "discovered" by the PC selected, and the PC presented a notification that the drive was connected, and my virus scanner started scanning it each time. Also, trying to eject the external drive was met with the "drive in use" message, and I had to shut down both PCs just to make sure the drive writing was finished.While the attached drive behavior was a little annoying, you can move a lot of files between two PCs using the shared drive.There is a lag between switching before the display reacts (both of my mini PCs are running the same version of Windows 11 Pro 24H2), but I don't find a 4-second black screen critical for my application.

Extremely easy to set up to allow you to connect 2 pcs to 1 monitor, 1 keyboard, and 1 mouse.My issue was a laptop with a broken keyboard, a gaming pc, and no space. My solution was this inexpensive way to connect both devices to 1 mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Laptop now sits out of the way but totally available and functional whenever I need it. I can easily and quickly switch between the 2 devices with the touch of a button. Comes with all cables you would need, is compact, and does exactly what it needs to do quickly and well.

I wanted to use the same keyboard, mouse, and display with a WFH laptop and my personal desktop. This ended up being the perfect solution. I can switch all three items between computers by just pressing a button. My setup includes:Common peripherals:Apple Magic KeyboardApple TrackpadLG 32" 4k displayComputer 1 is a MacbookPro (16" M2 Max)I've got a single USB-C dongle plugged into the laptop with an HDMI and USB-A cable going from the dongle to the KVM switch.Computer 2 is a MacMini (2024 M4Pro)HDMI and USB-A (using a USB-A -> USB-C adapter) cables going from the MacMini to the KVM switchCan confirm the display is putting out 4k@60hz on both machinesOnly drawback is that I have to keep the keyboard and mouse (trackpad) wired, but a few extra cables is worth the ease of switching.

Worked great for a few weeks and then died 2 days after the return window. One of the HDMI inputs stopped syncing with my computer causing constant flashing and then both USB ports stopped working so I could not use my keyboard or mouse.I do not recommend. The KVM it replaced lasted a few years before one of the four inputs stopped working. This one did not live up to expectations. It gets 1 star because when it was working, it was solid. The external switching button is a great idea, just the product died way to early. To test, I could connect my keyboard, mouse, and monitor directly to my computers without issue. I even replaced HDMI cables to no avail. Not mad, just will be more careful about my purchases next time.

Works like a charm, and, VERY IMPORTANTLY, comes with all the necessary cables. It even supports HDR10. The main photo on Amazon shows two stacked items, but it is just to show you front and back of the device. A bit confusing imho.I now can switch from my work laptop to my home computer seamlessly, sharing keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer, external webcam. Love it! And build quality looks nice too. The box is plastic, but with a nice matte finish.

This work is good but not perfect and not always. 1st.-This is the same problem I had when I connected my asus rock keyboard to my screen, sometimes 15% of it lost connection with the PC. If I connect the keyboard directly to the PC it gets stable. Maybe the problem is the keyboard. 2nd.-When I switch monitors the computer loses the extended connection and goes to the laptop screen only, the same with my desktop, it passes from two screens to one, for It is better to switch the screen with two cables connected to the monitor using the monitor menu—3rt.-Very slow transition, maybe 4 seconds. 4th.-The cables are too short, not for use with a standing desk and the PC down on the floor. 5th.-This can be better if built in two bottoms, one for the keyboard, USB, mouse, etc., and one for the screen. Resume... I have been testing some other more expensive and the quality of this is the same and sometimes better. All have the same issues, so this is cheaper.Additional rev: When you switch screens, it turns off one to turn on the second one, which is wrong to work continuously with two computers because all your windows go back to the main screen, and you have to set it again when you switch back. Now, I am switching the PC active screen with my monitor button menu and using this only for the keyboard. I reduced 4 stars to 3 because this does not do the whole work. UPDATE no EDID emulation, KVM has to have EDID, now 2 star because it is well built.

This is my first time buying and using a KVM switch, so I decided to pay a little extra and buy from a company/brand I've used before. I was currently (manually) sharing a single monitor, keyboard, and mouse between two computers, with an HDMI cable from each computer connected to the monitor. With this configuration, only one computer could be "alive" for the monitor to automatically select the correct input source, and I had to switch the USB dongle for the input devices from one computer to the other. The KVM switch ended all of that, and UGREEN included all the cables I needed to connect the devices - with the exception of 1 USB cable. They include 1 in the package, but you need 1 for each computer. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and the decision to buy UGREEN. Both of my computers, one Windows 11 Pro and the other, Linux Mint 22, immediately connect and respond to the mouse & keyboard when I switch, and there is no hesitation seeing the output on the monitor. I would definitely buy this switch again and/or recommend it to a friend.

It disables the display when you're not viewing a port which means that things like my laptop switch the internal display back on when I switch away. I suspect this is to cut down latency (it's just a straight pass through not a buffered connection) but it means I had to turn my laptop to turn the display off fairly quickly or it would get annoying.I don't think it has a keyboard shortcut to switch terminals but I put it near my keyboard so I can just hit the button on top.Beyond that it works great.Would be better if it contained right angle HDMI adapters because it's likely to be used inline with other sources so you end up with bends in the (short) HDMI cables provided.
