I love this switch allowing me to hook up and use one monitor for 2 computers. It’s easy to hook up - a wonderful device!!!!

I messed up and forgot both my monitors are display port, so I have this running the the keyboard and mouse USBs only. I've got a home server/NAS that sometimes likes to drop connection so I can't remote in, this flawlessly lets me swap over though. Quick press of a button, zero issues. Just make sure your monitor(s) are hdmi as opposed to me 🤣

The KVM switch worked perfectly for about a month. Suddenly, I could no longer get it to recognise the keyboard or mouse on either computer. Unplugged everything and plugged it all in again, changed to a new keyboard and mouse... no response.

I replaced a kvm switch that also switch video. The old was quick but had these now big and unused cables and connectors. This one works well, but switching is slow. It takes about 3 seconds to have input on the switched to device recognized.

This puppy works flawlessly and at a bargain price. I have had other KVM switches in the past, mainly for VGA monitors and they also worked fine - but at a much higher price. The only possible negative it may have is that it does not switch the audio. But for me that was not a big deal.

After attempting to set up a remote desktop from my Windows 10 PC into an Ubuntu system I configured recently and accomplishing nothing from it except for an exercise in anguish, I decided to look into whether or not some sort of hardware switch that would permit one set of peripherals to be used with two different computers at the same workstation was a thing, and lo and behold, it is, and apparently it's called a "KVM switch." I picked this one up hoping that it would solve the aforementioned first-world problem of mine, and it turns out that it does a pretty good job at it.The way it works is that the monitor you're going to be using to view the two different machines gets plugged into the lone HDMI port on the front of the device. Your keyboard and mouse each get plugged into one of the two USB-A ports on either side of said HDMI port. On the back side, two more USB cables are plugged in; one goes to a USB port on one of the computers you're using, and the other goes to the other. There are also two more HDMI ports which, like the USB ports, each connect to the HDMI port on one of the computers. This allows a single keyboard and mouse to be used to interact with each of the computers one at a time, which is accomplished by pressing a button on top of the unit. After a few seconds, the other computer's display replaces the one of the first computer and you're able to use the same mouse and keyboard you were using for the first one on this other one you've switched to.I know... A lot of word-salad. But chances are if you're viewing the page for this thing then you already get the basic concept behind it, and I can tell you that this little guy does what it promises.

Man. This is amazing. It works perfectly for my needs. I seen that there are other options available for how many inputs you need to be able to swap around.I have two monitors, a keyboard and mouse, and a PC and a Mac.I use this to swap between the PC and the Mac without needing to use a different keyboard or mouse every time.Definitely recommend as a quality of life upgrade.

This is a follow up review. Mouse is no longer working. It lasted 75 days. Now what? It was good while it was working, but it doesn’t last. Quality is an issue.

I already have a KVM, but could use another for a different setup. I liked the look of this because it doesn't need a separate PSU which is always handy - saving on another plug in use. However - and it's only mentioned once that I can see in the article listing (and certainly not in the item description or product details) this is only a USB 2.0 hub. No superspeed or high power devices can be used (or at least not to their full potential. A bit disappointed that a new piece of tech can be launched that only has USB2.0 when USB3.1 has been pretty much the standard since 2013.Still - it does work, and it works well. It's handy having the remote switch so the KVM itself can be hidden away, but I'm not sure how much use a USB2 KVM will have in the long term.
