No need to throw away a lamp just because the socket stops working.... total of about 5 minutes to switch them out. Also, this replacement turns a lot easier than the original, making it nice for people with weaker hands. Hint: Get the vintage looking key sold on Amazon to replace the original knob for a great look at easy turning.

I had an antique lamp whose on/off switch no longer worked. I replaced the old three way with on/off socket. It fit right in smoothly. The quality is good. I also had another old lamp whose push on/off (old plastic brown and red) was chipped and was wearing out. I replaced it with my other new socket. I have two great working lamps.

My lamp would not stay on when I turned the switch on so I removed the light attachment but didn't know what to do next. I went on Amazon and found one that looked just like the one I needed and low and behold it was a perfect fit. Very happy now my lamp works again.

Replaced two broken lamp switches. Relatively simple. Doesn't feel all that solid (none of them do), but seems good enough for its purpose. No problems after about a month of daily use. Would buy again.
