I bought this so that my students and I could do some light painting. We mostly used it in a photo studio with the lights turned down. The modes on the unit are pretty intuitive and the students were able to make it whatever color they wanted or they made it change color as we moved. It also has a setting that makes it flash on and off which creates some really great pulsed streaks. We had a great light saber at first and that was pretty good, but this was much better and much easlier to use.

I belong to a photography club. We used this to do some light painting with cars. They worked well.

it’s great to get simple lighting if you put the light within 3 feet of your subject, but anything further than that and you’re gonna have a hard time. great for closeups and faces, but if you have to have your light further away from your subject then get a brighter light.good for the price though, colors are rich and bright, and it charges quickly. easy to use.

The build of this is very lightweight and cheap. I have a similar product that wasn't much more expensive and made with aluminum. So try to find an aluminum light stick even if it costs a little more. It's worth it.

Great light, got it on a whim while getting the RGB Ulanzi light (Also a great light) I appreciate the USB-C charging since I'm trying to mograte to the standard. Add this next to your laptop for lighting that will make you look less dead to your co-workers :) dial it to a warm setting and your camera image will improve immediately. Would probably work great as a portable videographer light while out on the town, mounts to any shoe mount and has 3 extra mounts built in for other lights, a mic or anything else that can screw into a shoe mount. The 1/4" threads on the bottom let me use an old selfie stick to hold it up near my webcam. Pretty good battery life, doesn't have fast charge, but that's definitely not a show stopper, get two, they're cheap :)
