Proper Use & Warnings
To properly use a bungee cord, follow these steps:
- Determine the length of the bungee cord needed to secure the load. It should be long enough to reach around the load and allow for proper tension, but not so long that it becomes tangled or excess cord hangs loose.
- Begin by attaching one end of the bungee cord to the anchor point on the load. This could be a hook, a D-ring, or some other type of securing point.
- Take the other end of the bungee cord and stretch it over the load to the other anchor point. Attach the bungee cord to the second anchor point using the hook or other fastening device.
- The bungee cord should be tightened enough to hold the load securely in place, but not so tight that it causes damage to the load or the cord itself. To remove the bungee cord, simply reverse the process, releasing the cord from the anchor points and carefully coiling it up for storage. Be sure to store the bungee cord in a dry place to avoid damage.

These are nice bungee cords. I use them as a tie down for a tarp on a greenhouse. They’re much sturdier than the ones from say Harbor freight and they’re all the same size which I like it works for me.

I spend a good deal of time on the road and regularly use these high quality bungee cords along with a few ratchet straps to stabilize my usual load including luggage, tools, and a12v refrigerator. Mine have seen almost a year's hard use and still look and function as new, so expect a good run If you pick up a set.

These bungee cords can do almost anything in my experience. While they can't completely defy the laws of physics, they're strong, long enough to be useful, and don't come in a myriad of confusing colors to distract you from your goal--securing whatever it is you want to secure. I use these to keep my portable cabinets in place in my travel trailer, and they do a wonderful job. When my door handle broke, I used one of these stretchy wonders to keep my door shut at night. It wasn't a door lock, but it was better than trying to sleep with my door open to the world. I've use them to as ropes to hang other things on, to secure a load in the back of my pickup. I've even used them to keep a squirming dog somewhat still while I tried to groom her. I highly recommend these amazing cords.
