When I moved I decided to downsize and try to live a more minimalist life. I had an old ball- bearing rolling pan with handles that I loved but didn’t really use often anymore so I gave it to a friend. I’ve kinda been managing without one, but sometimes I really needed a rolling pin! I see TV chefs with the French rolling pins and know they’d not take much room in my kitchen and this one has so many smart features and is so reasonably priced so I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did!The measurement feature makes it so easy to know my pie crust, pizza, dough ring, etc is the just the right size for the pan. No more guessing!It gets cold quickly while still being easy to handle so my laminated or buttery dough stays cold so I always get flaky and tender pies and rolls.It looks cool. :)It’s easy to store in my tiny kitchen- it easily fits in the kitchen drawer.It makes baking more fun- I kinda feel like a professional baker,Sometimes I use it when I don’t really need a rolling pin just because it’s filing to use and easy to clean and put away- like when I made pizza dough tonight- and making my own pizza is so much cheaper and tastier than delivery (or frozen-yuk).A rolling pin isn’t going to change your life, but this is a fun kitchen tool that’s a good investment even for people with small kitchens.

This rolling pin is a straight forward, no-nonsense rolling pin. It’s a sleek spin on what my mother used. No handles required, just angling down where your hands rest make this rolling pin a breeze to use. Easy to clean and light weight. Pizza dough didn’t stick at all. I love the measurement markings along the rolling pin-haven’t needed to use them yet, but I like that extra touch. Recommmed!

I was looking at this rolling pin as a supplement to the wooden version of a French pin that I already own. The metal version seemed like it would be easier to clean and maintain. The weight of the pin is nice and it has a great feel in your hand. My only issues with it have been dough sticking to it. I flour my dough and the pin, but the dough still wants to stick to the pin a little. It is not a deal breaker for me, but that has been my experience. I still use it quite a bit, but now mostly to roll out dough between sheets of parchment paper, that way sticking is not an issue. For other types of applications, like pizza dough, I stick with the tried and true wooden pin. I am not suggesting you avoid this pin, quite the contrary, it is very useful. I just wanted to mention my experiences as input to anyone considering this pin.

I've been baking since I was 6 with my grandma. I'm 27 now. I'm a guy who tends to have alot of issues with rolling pins. 1) I'm aggressive so the ones with the little nobs don't work for me. 2) when the dough sticks i usually get irate.With this rolling pin everything seems different. The material of the pin is ultralight weight which is a plus for me because it helps me realize how much force I am using while pressing down. Meaning if I need to stop at a quarter inch its not gonna happen naturally from the weight of the rolling pin alone.You can also place this bad boy in the freezer for a couple minutes and its ice cold. Roll for a couple minutes and put it back in the freezer while you cut your cookies or crusts into shape. By time you take your second set of dough out of the fridge to start the pin is cold again.Its dishwasher safe. Which is a plus for me because I hateeeeee dishes.What I will say is the most impressive part about my order was that the company sent me a follow up email to my email linked to my Amazon a couple days later. The email asked how the pin was working and said if it was anything less than 100% then they'd take it back no questions asked. They also provided me with a link to 150 free dessert recipes.Now I know I've had an Amazon account for almost 9 years and not one time has a company themselves sent me a follow up email to ask how a product was working. SURE you get the occasional Amazon email asking but this was the actual company. Seeing as I paid 17$ and they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied like I bought a 300$ marble pin was mind blowing.Kudos and I can't wait to gift these to the other men in my baking group and relatives for the holidays. If you are on the fence about this product get it. You've got nothing to lose and I promise it will blow your mind.

I used this one the first time in a class at Sur la Table making croissants. The instructor convinced me to use this instead of the old fashioned wooden one. This really rolls out dough quite nicely, you can add pressure on the ends to flatten as your dough gets too thick on the ends. Highly recommended.

Rouleau avec un bel aspect, mais il n'est droit. Pour étaler des pâtes régulièrement ce n'est pas vraiment idéal. De plus, il est très léger. Pas pratique pour étaler de la nougatine. Je le retourne.
