I was indeed able to twist one of these on to a coax cable in need of a connector replacement. Twisting them on my cable however did not yield a very tight connection to the outside of the wire, so I had to handle it carefully when I installed it.It does work as advertised, but don't expect them to hold tightly to your coax cable.

worked fine without tools except a plier to twist. Outer edge of cable needed a tiny bevel with a razor because the connector was a tight fit.

I haven't used these in years and it would have beeb nice if it included basic instructions on how much to cut back.. the dollar store ones used to have that.
