It is great size (large enough for many herbs and things and has to be seasoned. It takes time to season it by grinding rice in it but is a neat and fun process. Always wanted one and now my mom got me one for Christmas!!!

Like it for making guacamole. It takes a good bit of effort to season it (initially before use) crushing rice repeatedly till it comes out clean. Once seasoned, we crushed the garlic, herbs, etc for guacamole with the stone pestle in the stone bowl. We use a potato masher in a separate bowl to prepare the avocados. We mixed all together in the stone bowl and served it. It feels well made.

This is a shallow and wide mortar that is made of stone. It’s quite heavy and will last forever. It also has padding on the legs so it won’t scratch countertops. The pestle is also rock but is well shaped so it’s easy to hold. Very good quality product that is worth every penny..

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo,ho fatto varie salse e battuti di verdure senza sforzo e alcun problema...All inizio cè da usarlo a vuoto per levigare la ruvidita cosi da evitare che si formi tanta polvere di granito...Dopo vari usi e raggiunto la superficie liscia la polvere non si forma quasi piu e risulta molto comodo l utilizzo per triti fini senza uso del coltello..Consigliato!
