Exactly what I needed, perfect size - not big, but medium size perfect for grinding spices, mashing garlic, etc. Stone is nice a rough for quick breaking down of whatever you put in it. It looks nice on the shelf and doesn't take up a lot of space.

I like that it is heavy and stable. Comes with a stick-on rubber pad and an extra, to keep it from slipping or scratching your counters.The pestle is also substantial and really does the job and comfortable to hold. They also included a slip on rubber grip for the pestle if you need it, but mostly we don't use that. If I were to do a lot of grinding in a single session I might use it to give my hand some padding. We mostly use it (so far) for grinding spices. The granite is the perfect surface as it has a bit of texture so the spices don't just slide around as you try to grind as the do on my previous stainless steel one.Follow the instructions to season it first and you will have excellent results!

Sturdy product, and it looks awesome! I love how well it mixes flavors and it feels firm in the hand. I was worried food would stick to it, but it's not too difficult to clean. Make sure you get the right size for your needs, but these things work super well!

This is working great. My husband was jazzed to get it. It looks Great, is heavy, it does have a non slip pad on the bottom which helps prevent scratching too which is great. He has been grinding spices no for the marinade and I can tell a difference so this has been very good for flavoring now too! Happy with it.

Good Size Mortar & Pestle, hefty and nice quality. No granite dust or tiny particles, rough finish for that good grinding. I made thai curry paste from it. Thinking about buying another one (smaller) for smashing coffee beans in the morning

Great size, heavy weight to keep it in place, the perfect rough surface inside for grinding. I think it is attractive enough to leave out on display. The price is reasonable. We are completely satisfied with this item.

It's heavy and servicable. Makes short work of smashing herbs and veggies and holds a lot of product. I see no use in a smaller mortar. This stays put on the counter and the pestle is perfect for my grip.

The pastel just snapped in half when I was using it to grind garlic and salt! The stoned just snapped in my hand. I don't think that is supposed to happen. Disappointed.
