The rubber on my trusty squeegee was wearing down, having been used on rough bath tiles and exposed to bathroom cleaners using bleach. Taking the squeegee apart was easy and it was a good opportunity to clean it all up with the old blade removed. Replacing the blade was a three-handed job, since the blade had to be held in place while screws and nuts with nylon inserts were started and tightened sufficiently to hold the blade. This is a job that will test your dexterity, but in reality a third hand will make it a trivial task. Excess blade length is easily trimmed with scissors. The result of the blade replacement is effectively a brand new squeegee.

This will work in a new or old squeegee. I used this on my old brass one that is an odd size so yes its versatile. Quality is excellent you won't have streaks. Try one they will work in the old wipers on equipment or for their intended use.

This works it’s very easy to install. I had to cut off about 4 inches. It was just a little bit longer than the large squeeze that I bought, but it works great.

I have a set of 6 brass squeegees with natural rubber blades and had picked up an 18" at my local hardware store. That one had a hard rubber blade which did not last. The Unger blade is much closer to the natural rubber blades I am used to. Although I have not used it yet I am looking forward to smooth glide and streak free window cleaning. I think I have finally found a good blade supplier.
