My new computer came without an SD port, so I needed a solution. After browsing Amazons many products, this one was the simplest and happened to be very reasonably priced, although I noticed the price went up $2 the day after I ordered mine, but still worth it. The devise simply plugs into a USB port, and it has two slots, one for regular SD, and one for Micro SD. I put my care into the device, plugged it into the computer Windows 11, and it immediately recognized it and gave me access to the files. Few things are this easy to set up and use, but this is truly plug and play, no driver installations or any special Apps, it just worked. I would highly recommend this product.

Just a heads up: It works fine (and the spring-loaded slot is nice), but this adapter is designed a little on the stupid side. If you use both full-size SD cards and micro-SD cards, it does have slots for both, yay. BUT the two different cards are not inserted in the same direction. On the printed side of the device (where it says UNI) you insert the micro-sd card face up. But to insert a full-size SD card face up, you have to flip the adapter over (the UNI printed side down--sort of like it's backwards). Or of course you can just flip the different SD cards around to make them fit. I didn't get this at first and it seemed like my card was not going into the slot properly (because it wasn't). Since I use both types of cards regularly (and I will NEVER remember which direction to flip the adapter to make the card fit in face up), I printed a little reminder for myself on both sides as shown in the pic. Not a dealbreaker...but just sort of stupid to have to flip the adapter around to use it correctly for both types of cards, right?

This worked great and was exactly what I needed. I bought a new HP Chromebook, but found out it didn't have the SD card slot for transferring my pictures onto it. I Googled and determined I needed an external device to accomplish this. It was easy to use and got the job done.

Quality is excellent. The cable makes it very practical to plug in close to other ports. Spring loaded mechanism makes it so easy to insert or remove cards. It can read and write two cards at the same time. With an adapter for microSD card, two microSD cards can be used at the same time. Recommended.

Ich bin mit der Funktionalität und Verarbeitung des Kartenlesers mehr als zufrieden, schönes Design und sehr kompakt (Bild 1). Das Metallgehäuse macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Der Kartenleser erkennt meine Formate einwandfrei und überträgt die Daten USB 3.0 entsprechend schnell. Wichtig ist jedoch, die SD-Karte richtig einzuschieben. Richtig heißt hier: Verkehrt herum, nämlich umgedreht und mit den Kontakten nach oben (Bild 2)! Wer es anders herum versucht, riskiert die Zerstörung des Gerätes (und evtl. auch der Karte). Dass so viele Rezensionen vom ungewollten Verschieben des Schreibschutzes sprechen, ist mir ein Rätsel. Wenn ich die Karte, wie gerade beschrieben, richtig herum einlege passiert das bei mir nicht. Das Auswerfen geht wie bei hochwertigen Einbaugeräten mit leichtem Druck auf die Karte, dann wird diese mit Federkraft ausgeworfen.Irritierend ist, dass das Produktbild 3 nicht die richtige Lage der SD-Karte zeigt und man so geneigt ist, die Karte wie sonst gewohnt mit dem Label nach oben einzusetzen. Wer gute Augen hat, wird aber das entsprechende kleine Symbol oben auf dem Leser erkennen, das die Kontaktleiste auf der SD-Karte zeigen soll. Ich brauchte dazu eine Lupe. Das Symbol ist grau auf grau und so winzig wie ein einzelner Kartenkontakt. Übrigens: In dem beiliegenden mit "User Manual" betitelten kleinen Zettelchen steht nichts davon (Bild 4).Wie sich der Kartenleser im Dauerbetrieb macht, bleibt abzuwarten. Bislang bin ich sehr zufrieden und vergebe deshalb die volle Punktezahl.
