It even worked with a defective/dying micro SD card that wouldn't work with an Android phone, so I could move the files over to a working SD card. I use this on Linux by the way with no issues whatsoever.

This device surpassed my expectations because of its size and convenience of use. The durability of this device remains to be seen, but at its price, I really won't care whether I get only a handful of uses from it. I never realized how much I needed this until I had it.

My laptop has an SD reader slot, but after some issues with my OS (Win10), it stopped working. An OS issue, or a true mechanical failure, I don't know, and I do know I don't want to open up my laptop to fiddle with the reader. This USB adaptor works right out of the box, plugged in to USB 2.0 and 3.0 "A" jacks.Downsides: (1) the SD slot is along the length of the adaptor, so an inserted card needs clearance when plugging the adaptor into the jack. Perhaps 1/2 - 5/8 inch. USB A jacks are not symmetrical, so you can't turn the adaptor over like you could a "C" jack. (2) the adaptor has a male A plug and a micro USB plug (which will work with many phones). Each jack has a pull-off cap. I like to see caps secured with a cord, so they don't get lost. That can be fixed by hotgluing a rubber band to the cap and adaptor body easily enough.So, a good solution if your computer (or cellphone) doesn't have an SD slot, or your SD reader has stopped working due to OS or mechanical issues.

Worked well for a couple of months. Not super well built (broke recently) and not competitively priced compared to others that have better build quality/ last longer. Overall just meh, you could find better.

I bought this for a reasonable price to read micro SD cards and I'm happy to say that it does the job well. I'm very satisfied with this device, it's simple but it works.

Honestly it's a simple product. The SD card and micro SD card reading is nice, and a micro-USB port is nice for legacy devices. All fits are tight and the build quality is pretty solid, it doesn't wobble in the socket like cheap usb plugs.It's fast to use and functions as intended! Overall good for the price
