When tying down a kayak to the roof of your car, you're going to need more than lashing straps and the little tiny rope that is provided in this kit. I can tell you because after tightening the lashing straps as tight as they could be and then continuing to drive down the road my kayak came loose from the roof of my vehicle, not only creating damage to my car but also to my kayak.

Extra parts included. Only need 2 of 4 straps. Works just fine for top of car, whether directly installed or over racks.

NOT RECOMMENDED. Nice design but black padding was delaminated before I used them and gray block material tore on installation. The gray foam is not very good quality. I should have made my own from closed cell packing foam. Very disappointing.

This was the cheapest way to transport my kayak. It's very easy to use. I didn't feel comfortable with the straps so I bought ratchet straps. Now I know my kayak isn't moving no matter how fast I'm driving on the highway. I would buy these again.

The manufacturer of honda says it doesn't support a roof rack but I thought I'd give these a try. Turns out anything on the roof of a Fit is too heavy. Nice try. But everything fits in a Fit, so I continue to carry my 10 foot kayak inside my Fit! I get a lot of second looks!

Overall actual foam pieces and straps are good quality but the bag ripped the first time I used it. Very cheap material for the bag.
