The bottle works fine but it is up to you to be cautious on how wet it gets because it gets too wet, easily.If you pay attention to that it works fine.

This product is normally used to moisten envelope flaps, but I use it much differently. Okay, this is a little gross, but I developed a fungus in one toenail. OTC remedies do not cure toenail fungi; they just make your toenail look a little better, and I want to cure the fungus. I use this applicator to dab a solution of baking soda and water onto my toenails. My theory is that changing the toenail PH will inhibit the fungus and give my immune system an assist in getting rid of the fungus. It is too soon to be sure, but it seems to be working. When I started, the entire nail was involved; now there appears to be about 1/4" of healthy nail growing from the nailbed. This is pretty rugged use for the applicator, but it is holding up very well. Every several days I have to soak it in warm water to remove the accumulation of baking soda crystals from the foam, and then it acts like brand new again.

I got these to dispense a thin layer of oil, not for envelope adhesion, but it works great!I wanted to get these so I could easily apply certain oils to dry spots on my skin, and I tried rollerball bottles before, but this puts out more volume, more what I want.The only downside is that these should be about $2 for 2. The price is too high.

Wow. After years of cheap squeeze bottle sponges, I finally found the best there is. A free standing bottle with Marine grade sponge.
