Fits my Mauviel M'steel carbon steel pans perfectly. I'm not sure how the people who say this doesn't fit are trying to apply the handle. But I put mine on after seasoning the pan in the oven. So the handle had a nice coating of flaxseed oil on it when I slid it on. It slid on with no problem at all. All the way down to the keyhole. It slides off fairly easily, too. I know this because I put it on upside down (so the finger grips were up) the first time. D'oh! But it slid off easy enough. Turned it right-side-up and slid it right back on. In fact, I could possibly slide these off if I ever wanted to use my pans in anything hotter than a 450 degree oven.... which I probably wouldn't have a reason to do.Anyway, great product at a great price! If you are looking for a good handle cover for the Mauviel M'steel line, don't look any further.

Great snug and comfortable handle for professional cookware. Perfect for the cast aluminum handles most common to true commercial, restaurant cookware. I had no difficulty putting it on the handle of my Thunder 12" non-stick pan. It might be shorter than some folks might like, so I bought a second, cut the tip end off, and slid it down below the uncut handle. See the attached images. Now I've got a great rubber handle that I can choke up on or use two hands. This was necessary for me because these commercial aluminum pans are heavy and the handles are longer than consumer grade pans.

The large pan grip fits my Matfer Borgeat carbon steel pan handles. Don't even think about using the small or medium, regardless of the product descriptions suggestions of which size grip for which size handle. However, as noted in many other reviews, it goes on with difficulty and doesn't come back off because of how tight it is. This is a deal killer for my Matfer Borgeats, as I move them from stove to oven regularly. The ideal use of this grip (it is a nice product overall) would be with a pan that cannot go into the oven because of its handle (such as the standard line of De Buyer or Mauviel). For Matfers (and the pro line of De Buyers, which has oven-friendly handles), I found the slightly longer Lodge ASCRHH41 pan grip to be as good or better in comfort, grip, and heat protection. Most importantly, while snug, it comes off easily enough that I can move the pan from stove to oven.

I bought this to put on my Matfer Bourgeat 062003. The large is still a little small for this pan, I had to grease up the handle in order to get this on, but after a little bit of work it was able to slide it on. Nice snug fit, so I definitely won't have to worry about this slipping off. The grip is thick and has insulated well so far, and the indents for fingers are a nice touch.

I bought this along with a Mafter Bourgeat 062005 11 7/8” Carbon Steel pan. This was one of the recommended items to accompany purchase of pan.Unfortunately, the handle does NOT fit the pan.The slit on this handle is too narrow. In fact, it doesn’t fit the metal handles of any pan I have. Lodge Cast Iron skillets are even thicker than the Matfer.I assume the fitting is for small camping pans with slim handles. As it was under $5, I figure I’d save it for future pans. From looks and feel, silicon is thick and flexible. It remains to be seen whether it gets sticky over time, but for under $5, it’s a fair value. As a suggestion, I feel the description that lists pan sizes the handle fits on should be replaced, since it’s obviously incorrect. Perhaps a list of some of Amazon’s best sellers, or better photos that show an actual pan with diagramed dimensions would help.https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000KENOTK/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Cover opening is 7/8” wide by 1/8” thick but I was able to fit my handle in that was 1/16” thicker than this, so I can finally use my very old (& super heavy) Calphalon commercial pots again. This cover is very tight on my handle so the pot no longer spins in my hand (like it did with a different brand of a bigger silicone/rubber sleeve). My pot handle is very flat & just under 3/16” thick (just over 1/8”) & it slides on with some force applied. I can’t take the cover off quickly (in order to rotate between several pots) but I didn’t expect to. The cover is not flimsy or super flexible and is quite thick, so I expect it to hold up for a long time. It really protects from the heat & the big grooves (which are like scoops) allow for great thumb & finger placement. My metal handle was so narrow and thin that I had a hard time tipping the pot in order to drain it -but this sleeve has fixed it. (In the photo: I tried to show the opening but it’s hard to see... that’s the handle this sleeve fits on- if anyone interested in other brands it will also work on.)

I am still pondering how I can make these usable. I sometimes start a food in my Matfer Bourgeat black iron skillet on the range top, then finish the dish in the oven. My goal in purchasing these handle covers was to protect my hands from being burned on hot handles when I have removed the skillet from the oven. I was hoping to be able to slide them onto and off of the handle as needed. They are a little too snug to use in that way. If I were to leave them on the pans full time, assuming I could get them on, then they would have to go into a hot oven with the pan, and that means they would be too hot to handle when I pulled them out - the same problem I have with the original pan handles.
