I got this because my wife loves to add chicken to stuff and I figure it would help extend our chicken in different dishes over cutting up the chicken by hand. In use, it does a really good job shredding anything on the outer edges, but tends to leave the middle fairly intact. When I used to it, I had to move the section that was in the middle to the outer circle to get it shredded completely. It is mostly effective at shredding chicken though, and is easy to clean and store.I think it is something to consider if you like cooking up chicken and adding to your different dishes. It does pretty well, for the most part. I am not sure if the issues I had with it were due to thicker chicken breasts or if that really is a fault of the device.

I try to keep my meals simple, thanks to chronic illness that leaves me permanently exhausted and in pain. Still, we've all got to eat, and I've yet to discover the magical money tree that would allow me to order takeout every day (or better yet, hire a personal chef!) So I keep looking for various products that will help make my daily tasks a little easier.As I like to add shredded chicken to salads, I was intrigued by this version of the product. Lots of times, item descriptions claim they are "upgraded," but it's actually no different in usage - or even made worse.In this case, I am happy to say that the shredder really is improved. It does indeed have an anti-slip base and ergonomic handles that are easy even for me to grip. There's a removeable dish for easy transfer - however, it takes a bit to get used to, as you really have to get it aligned precisely onto the plastic spikes, or else it's a no go.All in all, this is a handy little device for a reasonable price.

This chicken shredder is AMAZING!! It's so easy to use! It saves on so much time from shedding chicken by hand. My favorite part about this is the tray that can lift up, and all the chicken is out of the main part (the prongs) with ease. It's nice that it suctions down onto the counter top to hold it still.

It's easier and neater than a fork or your fingers.

I used to use the plastic shredding claws, which worked great, but really messed with my hands. Using this is much easier but a little more time-consuming, mainly because of the meat removal and cleaning. Even with a dishwasher, this can be a pain because of it's height when set in a rack, so it won't fit on our top shelf unless it's angled, which allows water to get trapped on the backside. I haven't tried it on the lower rack, but don't want to risk it. I'll probably just add some holes so water can drain out. It fits one chicken breast or thigh with no issues and shreds incredibly quickly. I haven't tried it with pork yet, but will soon. If you do much with shredded meats, I highly recommend picking one of these up.

This is absolutely a handy tool to have in the kitchen if you don't like touching/shredding chicken (like me!). I had a first gen of these and while it worked fine it was hard to clean because I felt like I was going to knock the tips off. THIS is sturdy, solid, and it matches my kitchen.It comes with an easy to clean and dishwasher friendly tray you can remove (top shelf only!) which makes for easy cleanup. It shreds chicken wonderfully and I don't know why I didn't think of using one of these before. It wasn't until they went viral, I think. But, this is a must-have in a kitchen if you have or eat a lot of recipes with chicken, especially crock pot recipes! Get you one!

Not much to say about this one. The product does everything it claims to and does it quite well. It fits one medium to large chicken breast in it and shreds it quite well with only a few turns. It's easy to use and easy to clean. My only note is that it didn't stick very well to my counter top but we have a wood butcher block and it sticks great to that so it seems more of an issue with my counter than with the product.It is a fairly niche kitchen accessory but if you do a lot of shredding of meat this makes it way quicker.
