I gave this rock crusher five stars because it works great! I tested it on a raw piece of quartz from my collection, and it broke it up nicely. Then I tried a piece of fully mineralized quartz—the kind where you’d find precious metals—and it crushed it perfectly. I was even able to pan it out! For a hobbyist gold prospector, this is a fantastic tool to have. The welds on the one I received were solid, and the overall build quality is impressive. Highly recommend!

This is a product that I typically wouldn't be looking for, but as it turns out this Rock Crusher is useful for a variety of things! The “Crusher†as I have nicknamed it, is first of all, very sleek, shiny and attractive looking. When not in use, this item is pretty enough to display on my kitchen countertop. The Crusher is sturdy and well constructed, out of substantially thick, heavy weight stainless steel. This handy tool isn't just handsome, it really crushes rocks, glass, or even just plain old ice, if I so desire. There's no complicated instructions or confusion on how to get it to work. The stone crusher- frit maker has some good welds and will hold up well. There polishing up of the welding is a little rough and I took a file to it to finish the job but other than that it is a good working manual machine. Size specifications are ok. Good usable tool.

Everything is pretty well done except the welds on the handles, they are just partially tacked on. Probably will work just fine as there should not be much stress put on those except for transport.My rating method:1 star - Avoid2 stars - Doesn't meet expectations on quality or materials3 stars - Meets expectations, but does not stand out, maybe costly compared to others4 stars - Exceeds expectations, something stands out, good value, recommended.5 stars - Awesome - blew it out of the park on quality, value - Highly recommended.

I have heard that there is gold in the mountains near me, but that's not why I bought this. I do crushed glass art in a kiln and I ordered this so I could crush various colors of glass and melt it into mosaic style artwork. It does crush the glass easily and I have lots of material to work with, but now I just need to find time to fire up the kiln.

This is a heavy-duty tool designed to last. Top notch design and great stainless-steel construction. This is perfect for handling stones and glass. Heck anything you want to smash into pieces, I guess. LOL. Very easy to use and handle it pulverizes material into fine pieces and sometimes into dust like material. Great for DIY projects, crafts or even mining. A very reliable tool or stress reliever. I do highly recommend.
