First the good - the valve itself works and doesn't leak. Have this hooked up on a cattle trough and it's keeping the water level with no issues.Now for the not so good...#1: The fittings to attach the valve to the pipes are completely out of spec. No matter how much plumbers tape or putty we tried they leaked. Bad. We were able to get around this by switching to PVC fittings, which worked without any issues.#2: While the valve may look like stainless steel, it certainly does not have the heft or feel of metal. Seems to be plastic that was coated/painted with stainless paint perhaps? Tapping it makes a sound like a plastic water bottle vs. metal and it's extremely light weight for 'stainless steel'. The fittings were definitely metal, but the valve doesn't seem to be.We're going to leave it connected and see how it does over the next few months.

I had been using a PVC one and it never seemed work correctly as the float would get stuck inside it. This one works great as a replacement. No complaints.

Very well-made water float valve! It works great! The stainless is sturdy and looks great! It works exactly as it should! A great value!

This float valve does exactly what it is supposed to do and it does it well. It is straightforward to clean, and the attached NPT fittings allow you to do everything you need to to get it installed. This is a reliable and high-quality float valve and i recommend it to anybody looking for a float valve for their water system.

You get everything you need to install this valve. I love these compared to the plastic ones because they don't deteriorate in the sun. These are perfect for stock guzzlers, water troughs, or even ponds.
