I was a little hesitant to order this part as I always buy genuine BMW. This is a step up over the original drain plug fitment. You have to push this in the radiator drain relatively hard to get the tabs to go in. Once it does, it's held in place firmly and the original plugs do no it have this feature. Excellent drain plug and corrected my issue immediately.

This drain plug is going to ruin your automatic transmission if used, the middle is supposed to be hollow and, it should be taller, this will not allow coolant flow into the trans cooler!

Item is for a manual car not automatic so do not order if needing for an automatic. This item is the short one not the long one. I'm pretty sure the person who did a review saying it worked for his automatic blew his motor little after lol
