Toward the end of 2024, I bought an insert for my sliding door that had a dog door at the bottom, this dog door had a magnetic strip to help hold it closed for insulation purposes, but my smaller dog couldn't actually push it open. To remedy that situation, I removed the heavier door and used this to replace it, she was still a bit scared of it so I have a solid piece to cover the door as well as a set I made more to be like curtains, my smaller dog will jump through that no problem. Insulation-wise, there is a lot more cold air that gets in, but I think that will vary depending on size and how it is fitted, so it is due to me making "curtains" instead of overlapping to cover the space in a way that is more solid.The material is easy to cut, especially if your cuts happen to line up with any of the indents in the material itself. My dogs have been going in and out for months now and the durability is still solid. I also have material left over for future projects or if I need to replace or adjust my fix for the dog door. It does have that typical plastic-y neoprene type smell out of the box, but it didn't bother me, it also faded relative quickly after being removed from the packaging.

This worked perfectly to help keep the cold air out of our dog’s house. We attached one to the front of a plastic dog house as well as a wood dog house. It has held up very well and we feel better knowing our dog is safe from the elements.

I used this to make a dog door on a DIY dog house I made. So far my biggest complaint is the material is super short in width. I mean why can’t anyone make something for xl dogs who need xl doors? Otherwise it’s done ok so far. Too soon to comment on durability or quality. At this point I’m not unhappy and the price was very fair.

Used it to make a door to my goats house. Needed something sturdy enough to stand up to goats and this works well. Easy to cut to the right size.

The smell was strong at first, but it dissipated after a couple of days. It’s perfect for my tortoise house, helping to retain warmth during the winter months. The vinyl door flap was super easy to cut and install, and it came with six screws for secure mounting.

Bought this to use to restrict the draft through a catio entryway. Absolutely reduced the airflow compared to the hand towel we had been hanging there previously, which is important when people are getting electric bills in the hundreds of dollars range.

Perfect thickness, keeps the water out from the doghouse when it rains. Dogs can easily go in an out. Would buy again or recommend to a friend.

Good for keeping rain out of our outdoor doghouse. I like I could cut to the length needed. We ordered 2 rolls to fit our opening. Just measure to make sure you have the right quantity.

This is a review that will have to be updated. Fortunately I enjoy updating reviews so that won't be a problem. So why the update? Well, blame Mother Nature.We have a house full of cats and one local feral that we care for. In the summer he, the little feral guy, had a stroke or something, he wasn't well, and since he enjoyed peeking in one of our windows (and we planned on building him a shelter for winter anyway) we built him a temporary shelter up against the window he liked to peek in. That way he could peek and we could keep an eye on him, look after him and try to make sure he was safe.The problem is, you can't build anything with standard building materials tight against a glass window. So all fall, winter and now spring we've been fighting to try to keep the elements from getting in his shelter. We weren't very successful. When I saw this product it was like a light bulb went off. This stuff is perfect for what we need.When this product arrived I checked it and honestly, it couldn't be more perfect. It's ideal for a dog door, but it's absolutely perfect to serve as a strip between the window and the shelter roof as well as down the side where it's against the glass. We've always tried to keep that strip somewhat open since that's his 'emergency exit' in case an animal goes in after him but we've also needed to keep the elements out. This is the first thing we've found that's going to do that.We have and have had everything in place ready to install the pieces but every day that I've not been working and been available to do it, it's been pouring rain. So, an update with photos of the finished product will have to wait. In the meantime though, there is no question that this product is absolutely perfect for what's it meant for, as well as what we'll be using it for. And maybe a few other things. You never know.5 stars for a fantastic product.
