I purchased this item to replace another inexpensive skimmer that missed all the small particles. I was hesitant because of reports of durability issues. If I had a large pool, particularly if it was cement I would not use this skimmer as I do not believe it would hold up nor is the net large enough. However, it is quite sufficient for use in my hot tub. It's exactly what I was looking for. The mesh is tight enough to trap sand and tiny pieces of insects, the stuff my other skimmer completely missed.This item is made cheaply and may not hold up for large jobs but it's inexpensive, works great for what I need, and is a good value for the money. I would recommend this.

This is a replacement for the same product I purchases about 15 yrs ago. Yes. 15 yrs! It's the same great quality. Light weight, and perfect for pick up on bottom as well as on surface. Great product, great price! Do it! You'll be happy you did.

This is the third skimmer I have bought from this manufacturer. What I like is:the extremely fine mesh. It catches everything. It is a very sturdy skimmer (I have the short handle)What I like best is:that it isn't flat. It has corner seams to create a net shape.What I don't like is:The first one lasted most of the summer. The second one did not last half the summer. The seams come unraveled leaving 4-5" holes.I bought this skimmer net and head to replace my current hole riddle one, keeping the handle as it is perfectly functional. The head arrived and does not fit the handle- the head is for a larger diameter handle. I have a short handle and it is not the same diameter. I did not see this mentioned anywhere in the description. It is from the same company I bought the last skimmer from, and looks identical to mine so I am very disappointed. BUYER BEWARE head does not fit shorter handle.

I have purchased several pool nets and it can be difficult to find a net that is small enough to capture the smaller particles in the pool but; this works great - would definitely buy again.

This is the perfect skimmer! It not only gets the big leaves and such, it is also fine enough to get the little gnats and small stuff. Well made and lasted all summer with no issues.

I was excited to get this net based on the reviews but when I got it and used it, I noticed it didn’t really catch the smaller particles / debris and I just went through the net . My second problem is the design the net is too small that you can’t go over twice or thrice. It would be helpful to make the net a little deeper that way it catches more particles or debris. Overall a good net if you’re picking up leaves or anything midsize or small but anything extra small would require a fine thick net

LOVE this product! I bought this leaf skimmer almost 3 years ago for $10 and the net just started tearing. There are 2 pepper trees, two pine trees (one is practically hanging over the pool), 4 palm trees (surrounding the pool), a Mexican lime tree (also practically over the pool), some weird tree in my neighbors yard, and two sides of the pool have walls covered in ivy within 5 feet of the pool and this lasted almost 3 years! I do have a bigger basket that I'll a couple of time a year if it gets really bad but I hate how heavy it is especially when it starts to get full of wet leaves, my shoulder is screwed up from using it. This skimmer is so light and easy to use with a slight learning curve. Just keep it in the shade when not using it, everything breaks quicker sitting in the sun all the time. Definitely well worth the money. I'm buying another one today.

I bought the 5†net and recommend the 8†net. If there’s any breeze when taking leaves from the pool, the leaves are lifted right out of the 5†- not deep enough to keep debris in the net, net needs to be deeper. Also, I paid $11.99 for the 5†net six weeks ago - now the 8†is reduced to $12.99… buy it now if you’ll need it! The fine net is a plus for small particles!

Good concept but the net is too shallow. Would a lot better if it was deeper.
