My monitor has a mini display port and my laptop only has USB C, nothing else. This little adapter does the trick, it works beautifully, plug and play.

I bought this so I can use my old Apple cinema monitor with a Lenovo Yoga 910 laptop. So far it works great. It is made of good quality material, gold-plated connector, and this adapter was a good compact size, very easy for me to slip in my purse to take it with me when I need it for working out of the office.

I tried various USB-C to mini-DP to connect my work 2018 Macbook Pro to an old mini-DP Apple Cinema Display but to no avail. Took a risk on this USBCele connector and it worked and is working very well to connect my work laptop to an extended display. This connector has been a boon in this Work From Home COVID age - it definitely saved my eyes!If they made the wire connector portion Nylon braided, that would've been awesome, for the price point and for the short length, this is not a deal breaker. Go for it if you have an old Apple Cinema Display (with the original Magsafe, USB and mini-DP connectors) lying around and you want to make it work with any computer with USB-C connectors.

Started buzzing after several months of using it to the point where I think I need to replace now. I do use it everyday but not for extended periods. I suggest you look elsewhere

I have a 15" MacBook Pro with TouchBar that I use with a Dell P2715Q 4K display. With this adapter connected to the Mini Display Port connector there is no lag and it works great. This USB-C to mini DisplayPort adapter work exactly as intended, nice-looking, quality hardware with solid exterior.

Difficult to rate fairly because it doesn't work at all with my devices. I knew this was a gamble when I ordered it, because I have a very old Dell monitor with a DVI-D output. The monitor worked fine via a DVI-D to Mini DisplayPort adapter with my much older iMac and MacBook. My new MacBook has only USB-C (thunderbolt) inputs, and I couldn't find a DVI-D to USB-C adapter anywhere. Thus, I tried piggybacking the two adapters, but the MacBook does not detect the presence of the monitor, indicating no signal connection for whatever reason. On the plus side, the adapter appears well constructed (not chintzy), but I'll never know if it works or if it lasts.

Lo compré por que decÃa que era compatible con el Apple Cinema 24 pulgadas. Lo ocupe con un equipo DELL 5400 usb type C, no sirvio, lo probe con una laptop MSI salida de video tipo C, no funciona, lo probé con otro equipo HP Pavilion y no funciona... agarré un equipo HP salida Display Port to MiniDp y si funciona... mi monitor sirve, desafortunadamente este adapator no me funcionó.
